On August 12th, the leaders of Dong Nai province held a working session with the Thang Long Project Management Board ( Ministry of Transport ), along with relevant departments, agencies, and localities, to hear a report on the implementation of the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway construction project, phase 1.

Leaders of Dong Nai province held a meeting with the Thang Long Project Management Board regarding the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway.
According to a report from the Thang Long Project Management Board, the Ministry of Transport has approved the project under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. The bidding process for selecting an investor for this expressway is expected to be completed by December 2024.
The Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project is over 60 km long. Its starting point is at Km0+000 at the intersection with National Highway 1, connecting with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway (Thong Nhat district, Dong Nai province).
The endpoint is at Km60+243.83, intersecting with National Highway 20, connecting to the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway (Phu Trung commune, Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province). The total investment for the project is nearly 9,000 billion VND.

The location is in Bau Ham 2 commune, Thong Nhat district, where the expressway passes through.
This expressway will pass through four districts of Dong Nai province: Thong Nhat, Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan, and Tan Phu. Land clearance will be carried out in one go on a complete scale, covering a total area of approximately 378 hectares.
Following the project report, the Thang Long Project Management Board recommended that the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee direct relevant departments and agencies to support the unit in implementing the project, especially in land clearance.
At the same time, the Project Management Board requested Dong Nai province to promptly establish a Compensation, Land Clearance and Resettlement Support Council so that the unit can coordinate and expedite this work.
At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, requested that the relevant localities quickly compile data on land clearance and send it to the Department of Planning and Investment before September 12th.
From there, the Department of Planning and Investment will compile and submit the land compensation and clearance sub-project to the Provincial People's Committee for approval, and assign tasks to localities to implement the next steps before October 12th.

The starting point of the project intersects with the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway.
Local authorities need to review relevant planning documents to ensure suitability in project implementation. At the same time, they should strengthen construction management to prevent illegal construction within the project area.
"The Thang Long Project Management Board should deploy and hand over the land clearance boundary maps of the project to the localities to facilitate the implementation of subsequent tasks," Ms. Hoang said.
