Specifically, the Ba Ria-Vung Tau - Ho Chi Minh City route has 1,710 trips, providing more than 15,000 seats. Routes to the Southeast, West, Central and Central Highlands regions have also been significantly increased to meet the demand.

Prevent illegal buses and stations

To meet the increased travel demand and ensure traffic safety during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Bus Station Service Company has implemented a plan to tighten transportation activities at bus stations and the Bus Management Board. Enterprises and individuals operating in transportation must make specific transportation plans, prepare sufficient means of transport, personnel, and backup plans; vehicles must meet technical requirements, have full documents, and list transparent ticket prices.

Mr. Do Thanh Nghia, Deputy Director of the Provincial Bus Station Service Company, said that during the peak holiday season, all units must comply with the bus schedule, not skip trips, combine trips, set up illegal stations or pick up passengers outside the station; violations will be strictly handled. Any adjustment to ticket prices must be declared, posted in accordance with regulations and reported to the authorities.

Mr. Nguyen Do Hai Thuan, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, said that the Department has issued a document directing units to strengthen inspection and supervision at bus stations; coordinate with functional forces to control security and order, prevent commercial fraud, smuggling, crime and ensure fire safety. Before leaving the station, the operator will check the vehicle documents, driver's license, journey monitoring equipment, camera, fire extinguisher, first aid kit and other technical safety conditions. Vehicles that do not meet the requirements will be refused service.

In addition, drivers and service staff are strictly prohibited from using alcohol or stimulants; are not allowed to carry more passengers than the prescribed number, speed or overtake recklessly, force passengers or charge higher fares than the listed price. Service attitude must be civilized, providing the best support for the elderly, children and people with disabilities.

For buses, units must increase trips during rush hours, run according to schedules and stop and park according to regulations. Buses participating in inter-provincial transportation must also meet safety standards like fixed-route buses.
