(LĐ online) - On the morning of April 2, in Bao Loc City, Comrade Bui Thang - Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee had a working session with leaders of Bao Lam district, Da Huoai district and Bao Loc city on the work of reorganizing the apparatus and merging commune-level administrative units in localities.

Localities must proactively do a good job in personnel, civil servants and public employees so that the apparatus can operate effectively after the merger.

Representatives of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee and the Department of Home Affairs have raised quantitative and qualitative regulations on history, culture, traffic structure, population, infrastructure, natural conditions, etc. for localities to study, consider, and apply in the process of developing plans for the arrangement and merger of commune-level administrative units.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Bui Thang - Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the proactive and responsible spirit of local leaders in directing and implementing the work of reorganizing the apparatus and merging commune-level administrative units in accordance with the direction of the Central Government and the province.

Comrade Bui Thang emphasized: The work of reorganizing the apparatus and merging commune-level administrative units must be implemented in compliance with Central regulations, in order to create motivation and strategies for localities to develop long-term and sustainably after the merger and to serve the people.

Naming commune-level administrative units after the merger must be carefully researched and calculated scientifically to ensure suitability. Each administrative unit after the merger must ensure quantitative and qualitative factors to effectively solve local tasks, associated with serving the people. From there, localities continue to research and evaluate to develop the most optimal, effective and scientific plan to submit to competent authorities for consideration.

In particular, in the process of developing plans, localities need to pay attention to propaganda, orientation, and grasping public opinion to gain the support of cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life.

Along with that, localities must ensure timely rights, benefits, and policies for cadres, civil servants, and public employees; ensure material and technical facilities to meet the operational needs of commune-level administrative units after the merger; focus on public asset management to avoid waste and loss.

Comrade Bui Thang - Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, pointed out: Among the 3 localities, Bao Loc City and Bao Lam District have similarities and currently have adjacent administrative units. Therefore, the leaders of the 2 localities need to have careful discussions to reach consensus in the merger process for the adjacent commune-level administrative units.

The Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee also requested Bao Lam, Da Huoai districts and Bao Loc city to focus on leadership and direction to effectively implement socio-economic development tasks in the second quarter of 2025. In particular, focusing on budget collection and disbursement of public investment capital.
