The contest is one of the important events in the series of activities summarizing 10 years of implementing Directive No. 40-CT/TW dated November 22, 2014 of the Secretariat of the 11th Party Central Committee, on strengthening the Party's leadership over social policy credit.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ms. Hoang Thanh Nhan - Editor-in-Chief of Banking Times, Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest emphasized that social policy credit is a deeply humane policy, which has become one of the main pillars of the poverty reduction and social security policy system in Vietnam.

According to Ms. Hoang Thanh Nhan, since Directive No. 40-CT/TW was issued on November 22, 2014, social policy credit has become a "bright spot" in the country's innovation, contributing greatly to promoting socio-economic development, especially in remote areas, ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
The contest is open to all Vietnamese citizens, including overseas Vietnamese, along with reporters, editors, collaborators and correspondents from press agencies. The contest also particularly welcomes articles reflecting the opinions and criticisms from economic experts, banks, and scientific researchers, in order to propose solutions to improve and enhance the quality of preferential credit.
In terms of form, entries can be articles or series of articles, in journalistic genres such as reflections, reports, memoirs, notes, or photo reports. However, works such as news, photo news, commentary from radio, television, online newspapers, or works of fiction such as poems, short stories, literary sketches, and paintings will not be accepted. This ensures that entries reflect the truth, depth, and practicality.
To ensure fairness and transparency, the entries must be articles that have not been published in any press publication before. Each article must not exceed 1,800 words and can be divided into several installments, with each installment not exceeding 1,800 words, font size 14 and Times New Roman font. The Organizing Committee notes that for articles or series of articles, each author can submit no more than 3 works, each work no more than 3 installments; for photo reports, no more than 10 photos. The copyright of the entries belongs to the Organizing Committee. The works that make it to the final round will be published in Banking Times, the authors can use the works that do not make it to the final round to publish on other media.

Entries can be sent by post or email. The title must be clearly stated as “Entries on ‘Social Policy Credit - Party’s Will, People’s Heart” along with personal information such as full name, pen name, address and contact phone number.
The writing contest prizes include: 1 Special Prize worth 30 million VND; 1 First Prize worth 20 million VND; 2 Second Prizes worth 15 million VND each; 3 Third Prizes worth 5 million VND each and 10 Consolation Prizes worth 3 million VND each.
The summary and award ceremony is expected to take place in November 2024.
