PECC2 signed a contract to provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services for the 60MW Houay LaNge Hydropower Plant (Laos).

PECC2's outstanding contributions to Vietnam's energy industry are shown through the following figures:

• Management & operation of power plants > 5,000 MW

Promoting its capacity and experience in the Vietnamese energy sector, PECC2 has reached out to the region with the mission: "Cooperation in implementing energy projects on the digital technology platform, for a connected ASEAN energy network". PECC2 is a pioneer, opening new journeys and imprinting the PECC2 brand on the map of Southeast Asia, with typical projects such as: consulting for the Laos - Vietnam power line project; consulting for the survey of the Phnom Penh New International Airport Project (Cambodia); consulting for the survey of the Nam Phak Hydropower Project (Laos); providing operation and maintenance (O&M) services for the 60MW Houay LaNge Hydropower Plant (Laos). In addition, PECC2 has been actively researching the power grid linking green electricity trading with Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, and Malaysia to seek international and regional partners to implement these grid-linked projects.

In addition to implementing specific projects, PECC2 also actively participates in regional conferences on energy development. Specifically, in 2021 and 2022, PECC2 was honored to be one of the representatives of Vietnamese energy enterprises to present at the “Future Energy Asia Exhibition and Summit”. Here, PECC2 shared and contributed a number of proposed solutions to develop clean energy in the Southeast Asian region.

With the above missions, PECC2 pays special attention to strengthening and improving the quality of human resources. PECC2 always creates conditions for developing human resources with good thinking skills, high professional qualifications, mastering technology, understanding policies and laws (especially for the energy sector) to provide energy transition consulting services and invest in developing high-quality power projects, renewable energy projects, and new energy projects. In 2023, at the headquarters of PECC2 Innovation Hub building, the Vietnam Supervisory Committee for the implementation of the Mutual Recognition Agreement on Engineering Consulting Services in ASEAN organized a Training Conference on the Program of Activities for the Implementation of the Mutual Recognition Agreement on Engineering Consulting Services in ASEAN and awarded the ASEAN Standard Professional Engineer (ACPE) Certificate to Vietnamese Registered Engineers, including PECC2 engineers.

Building on the successes achieved, PECC2 will continue to expand the scope of cooperation through participation in energy projects, regional grid connection projects; promote research and application of new energy technologies, digital technology solutions for a connected and sustainable ASEAN energy system.
