Before the September FIDA Days training session with the Vietnamese team, goalkeeper Dang Van Lam suddenly "moved his household registration" from Binh Dinh Club to the new first division team Thanh Nien TP.HCM, confirmed by coach Nguyen Viet Thang.

The captain of Thanh Nien TP.HCM Club, Coach Nguyen Viet Thang confirmed to Thanh Nien Newspaper: "Dang Van Lam will be the newest member of Thanh Nien TP.HCM Club, with a contract for 4 seasons.

Joining us, Dang Van Lam will receive 6.8 billion VND/season and he himself has received 50% of his contract fee (equivalent to 2 seasons). I am very happy that the team recruited him."

Having lived and trained with Dang Van Lam in the Vietnam national team, coach Nguyen Viet Thang highly appreciates the talent and professionalism of this goalkeeper.

Dang Van Lam was once coach Park Hang-seo's number 1 choice in top tournaments such as the 2019 Asian Cup, 2018 AFF Cup or the 3rd qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup.

After parting ways with coach Philippe Troussier, Lam "Tay" was used by coach Kim Sang-sik in the 3-2 win over the Philippines team in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
