The musician has received the Vietnam Record twice.

In 2019, musician Thien Hao (real name Nguyen Van Cong, from Ba Ria - Vung Tau) set a Vietnamese record for being the person who composed and was granted copyright for the most songs , with 200 songs created within a 6-month period in 2019.

In June 2022, musician and record holder Thien Hao continued to receive three more awards: the "Golden Disc of Creativity" awarded by the Vietnam Record Organization; the "Commemorative Medal of the Vietnam Institute of Records" (VIETMASTER); and a Certificate from the Vietnam Intellectual Property Institute (VIPI) as a "Typical Representative of the Vietnamese Record Holders Community".

Musician and record holder Thien Hao has composed many songs in diverse genres about his homeland, country, and human love, as well as many comedic and Cai Luong (Vietnamese traditional opera) genres.

During the six-year period from 2018 to 2024, he composed and copyrighted 400 songs, officially setting a Vietnamese record for the second time.

Musician and record holder Thien Hao received his second Vietnam Record certificate along with his two daughters, actress and businesswoman Thien My and singer Hong Le.

Sharing his feelings about the honor of setting this record for the second time, musician and record holder Thien Hao said: "I am very honored that the Review Board has granted me this record certificate for the second time. For me, music is a part of life, a place where I can spread emotions about family love, love of life, love of my homeland around me, and through that, inspire willpower and determination in listeners, so I have been composing continuously. I hope that with such a rich variety of music, the audience will have many choices and will be given more positive energy in life!"

The musician also stated that he doesn't worry about making a living when composing music. Therefore, he often gives his songs to his student singers if they suit their voices, rather than selling them.
