On the morning of August 10th, at the Central Park of Binh Duong New City (Hoa Phu Ward, Thu Dau Mot City), the Youth Union of the Binh Duong Provincial Agencies Bloc and the Youth Union of the Binh Duong Provincial Enterprises Bloc, in coordination with relevant units, organized a fundraising run with the theme "Running for Our Beloved Younger Siblings" in 2024.

This is a meaningful program to celebrate the 8th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Binh Duong province, term 2024-2029, in response to the "Civilized Saturday" initiative, and to continue innovating the form of the "Adopted Child" charity program implemented by the two Youth Union branches since 2022.
The program attracted the participation of over 420 athletes from more than 120 units, including members of the Youth Union, young people from 2 blocs, officials, civil servants, employees, and children from agencies, units, businesses, banks, schools, and hospitals in and outside the province.

The competition is divided into three categories: men, women, and children. Each athlete needs to complete a 3km race along a route around the lake in the Central Park of Binh Duong New City.
A highlight of the program is that each registered athlete voluntarily contributes a minimum of 100,000 VND. 100% of this money will be used to carry out the Youth Union's "Adopted Children" charity program (donating gifts, scholarships, purchasing health insurance for the new school year, etc., for disadvantaged young members and students with good academic achievements in the province).

At the event, representatives of the organizing committee publicly announced that the total amount donated was 60 million VND. The organizing committee allocated 5 million VND to award 10 scholarships (each worth 500,000 VND) to 10 disadvantaged students in Luong Hoa commune, Giong Trom district, Ben Tre province on August 3rd.
Notably, at the program, 10 students, children of young workers employed at companies in VSIP II Industrial Park, received gifts and scholarships (each worth 2.3 million VND, including 1 million VND contributed by participating athletes and gifts worth 1.3 million VND including new textbooks, notebooks, school bags, and learning materials provided by the Youth Union of the Industrial Investment and Development Corporation - JSC).

In addition, within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee also had many volunteer booths in response to the "Civilized Saturday" initiative, such as "Exchange books for gifts" and "Nurturing green sprouts." These are meaningful activities to collect books and school supplies to support children in difficult circumstances, contributing to spreading the message "Live green, live beautifully, live responsibly towards the environment and the community" to young people and society.
Comrade Bien Tuan Vu - Secretary of the Youth Union of the provincial agencies in Binh Duong province shared: “Continuing the spirit of constantly spreading meaningful activities and bringing good values to the community, the program has continued to generate funds to contribute to the effective implementation of social welfare work and the development of Binh Duong province. Accordingly, all the money contributed from registration fees and donations from participating athletes and units will be used to carry out social welfare work, caring for children in difficult circumstances, thereby bringing hope and a new future to individuals and society.”
The program reportedly features the participation of many well-known runners from running clubs in Binh Duong province and neighboring provinces and cities. A total of 30 prizes are awarded to men, women, and children, including medals and cash.
