
Monitoring data shows that late this morning (August 6), the water level of the Tich River is decreasing, at Kim Quan hydrological station (Thach That district) it is currently at alarm level I (13cm below alarm level II); Vinh Phuc hydrological station (Quoc Oai district) is at alarm level I (22cm below alarm level II).
Water levels in other rivers and major drainage systems in Hanoi are also below the warning level. According to the Hydrometeorological Station of the Northern Delta and Midlands, on August 6 and 7, Hanoi will continue to experience hot weather. Therefore, water levels in inland rivers will continue to decrease.
According to statistics from the Hanoi Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue, by the end of the morning of August 6, the number of households affected by flooding had basically disappeared. In particular, in Chuong My district, at 7:00 a.m. on July 29, the number of flooded households was 2,844, but now there are only a few dozen households left. The families who had to evacuate have basically returned home to stabilize their lives.

In recent times, the response and recovery of natural disasters has received special attention from the Hanoi Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee. The city has directed districts to proactively deploy plans to ensure relief for people's lives; not to let people go without drinking water, daily life and essential food.

To proactively respond to complex weather developments and minimize damage caused by natural disasters, the Hanoi Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue continues to request the People's Committees of districts, towns, departments, branches and sectors to effectively implement the directions and instructions of the Central Government and the City in natural disaster prevention, control and search and rescue.
The key tasks in the coming time are to maintain close monitoring of weather and natural disaster situations; organize serious on-duty shifts; strengthen inspections, promptly handle situations that arise and regularly report to the Standing Office for proactive response instructions, minimizing damage caused by natural disasters.
As of 11:00 a.m. today (August 6), four large hydroelectric reservoirs on the Red River system are operating to discharge floodwater. Of these, Hoa Binh reservoir has opened four discharge gates, while Son La , Tuyen Quang, and Thac Ba reservoirs each have opened three discharge gates. The Hanoi Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control, and Search and Rescue has issued an official dispatch requesting riverside localities to proactively respond to the risk of flooding due to rising water levels on the Red River, Da River, and Duong River.
