Improving food safety knowledge for farmers

On April 28, the Provincial Farmers' Association organized training courses to improve knowledge on food safety in production and processing for 200 officials, farmer members, enterprises, and cooperatives in Phu My City and Chau Duc District (100 students per class).

At the training course, officials and farmer members were informed about the Food Safety Law; food safety hazards; ensuring food safety in the food production and trading chain. At the same time, instructions were given on safe production processes according to VietGAP, GlobalGAP standards, application of high technology, production according to the value chain; knowledge on the use of pesticides and fertilizers; preservation and processing methods, aiming for a green economy.
