At the invitation of Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh - Director of Tuyet Thanh Mechanical One Member Co., Ltd., Tan Trung Commune, Tan Yen District, (Bac Giang Province), we visited the company's agricultural machinery factory and saw the model of rice seedlings being thrown on trays in rows that the company is implementing.
In 2008, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh opened a workshop and founded a company. Initially, the company specialized in repairing plows, tractors, agricultural machinery... to serve farmers in the region.
Later, with his passion, he researched, manufactured and invented a number of agricultural machines to meet the needs of producers such as rice seeders, peanut threshers... at low prices so that people could easily access them.
This year, the company researched and tested a model of a tray plating tool that is placed in rows according to the manufacturer's wishes (wide rows - narrow rows), also known as the edge row effect method.
According to Mr. Thanh, wide-row and narrow-row rice sowing and transplanting have been implemented in many places and have been evaluated as having good results, but this has not been applied to tray-thrown seedlings anywhere.
Therefore, in the last rice crop, the company tested this method for tray-thrown seedlings. Up to now, the rice has been harvested and brought many positive results.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh, Tan Trung commune, Tan Yen district (Bac Giang province) introduced the tool for throwing rice seedlings in rows. Besides the tool for throwing rice seedlings in rows, Mr. Thanh has successfully invented a peanut threshing machine and a rice sowing machine.
Introducing this production method, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh said that he took advantage of production materials such as wood, PVC plastic, etc. to design the roof shape as a mold to replace the wire that people usually use to adjust the width and narrowness of the rows as desired.
When using, people throw seedlings into the chute, each person can carry 2-3 chutes at the same time.
The purpose of this method is to have rice plants at a suitable distance to take advantage of direct sunlight on the roots, stems, and leaves to stimulate the rice to grow quickly, produce early and strong tillers, thereby increasing the number of plants/clump and increasing the number of grains/flowers. At the same time, this method is also convenient for rice care, the rice plants are less susceptible to pests and diseases, and the amount of rice seeds is reduced.
Evaluating this model, Mr. Dao Xuan Vinh, Director of the KN Center, commented that the method of planting rice in wide rows and narrow rows has been widely applied in rice production and has brought high efficiency.
The tool designed by Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh to throw rice seedlings in trays according to the desired pattern is a good idea. In the next crops, it is necessary to monitor and have assessments to recommend to farmers.
Hopefully, with his passion, Mr. Nguyen Duc Thanh will continue to research, create and bring to market new agricultural machines and good methods to help farmers reduce costs, shorten working time, and apply them to production practices in each locality in the province as well as the whole country.
