According to Voepass, the plane was flying from Cascavel (Parana state) to the international airport in Sao Paulo state when it crashed in the city of Vinhedo, about 80km northwest of Sao Paulo, at 1:30 pm on August 9. Video shared on social media showed the ATR-72 plane losing control as it crashed behind a cluster of trees near a house, trailing a large plume of black smoke. Daniel de Lima, a resident of Vinhedo, said: "The plane was spinning but not moving forward. It then crashed and exploded." There were no survivors in the Valinhos area near Vinhedo, officials said. One apartment in a local apartment building was damaged, but no residents were injured in the incident. Authorities have not yet announced the cause of the crash. However, Sao Paulo state official Guilherme Derrite confirmed that the plane's black box had been found and appeared to be intact. Voepass, Brazil's fourth-largest airline by market share, said it could not provide any further information on the cause of the crash. It initially said there were 62 people on board. Italian-French aircraft manufacturer ATR told Reuters that its experts were "fully involved" in the investigation into the crash and its customers. It is Brazil's deadliest air accident since 199 people died in 2011. 2007 on a flight operated by TAM Airlines.Nhandan.vn
