During the meeting, both sides shared policies and strategies for developing digital infrastructure and the digital economy , initiatives to promote the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI), the deployment of 5G networks according to the OpenRAN standard, data governance, ensuring information security, combating fake news and malicious information, and developing digital human resources and digital skills to build a digital society.

Overview of the working session
Bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Japan in the field of information and communication has continuously expanded in recent years, with many programs and projects in postal services, telecommunications, information security, and the ICT industry. To further promote cooperation and contribute to strengthening the "Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World ," the two Ministers signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) on information and communication cooperation, focusing on expanding cooperation in postal services and ICT between agencies, organizations, and businesses of both sides.
