On the afternoon of January 20, the State Audit Office (SA) and the Ministry of Public Security signed the Regulations on coordination in auditing activities and signed a joint circular regulating coordination between the SAV, the Investigation Agency and the Supreme People's Procuracy (SPP) in exchanging information and recommending prosecution of cases with signs of crime discovered through auditing activities.

Mr. Ngo Van Tuan, State Auditor General, said that with the signing of the joint circular, coordination in crime prevention, waste prevention, and negativity between the four agencies will be carried out more effectively.

This is the legal corridor for the parties to coordinate closely, meet the conditions, and be suitable to the functions and tasks of each agency.

Along with that is the signing of the Coordination Regulations between the State Audit Office and the Ministry of Public Security, which specifically stipulates 9 contents of close coordination between the two agencies.

"On the part of the State Audit, we commit to fully implementing the contents stipulated in the Coordination Regulations, especially the prevention and combat of corruption and negative crimes," Mr. Ngo Van Tuan affirmed.

The State Auditor General requested the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security to direct close coordination with the State Audit Office in developing an audit plan based on the motto of safety, efficiency, compactness but quality, helping the Ministry of Public Security assess the effectiveness of public finance and public asset management, especially in hot areas, prone to corruption, waste, negativity, and of public concern.

At the same time, the two sides coordinate in performing audit tasks, especially closely coordinating from the stage of preparing documents, arranging focal points for organizations and individuals to have a firm grasp of the issues to discuss and work with the audit team, in order to overcome shortcomings and promote advantages in public finance and public asset management.

The State Auditor General also requested the Ministry of Public Security to coordinate and help the State Audit Office closely monitor the audit team; help prevent and combat negative acts of the audit team and auditors directly participating in the audit; coordinate to effectively and timely implement the audit conclusions and recommendations in accordance with the law.

The State Audit Office is ready to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security in training knowledge on public finance and public asset management; at the same time, it requests the Ministry of Public Security to coordinate and support the State Audit Office in training on cyber security, internal political protection, state secret protection as well as investigation skills...

Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang assessed that the signing of the coordination regulations and joint circular will create an important legal basis for the State Audit Office, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Supreme People's Procuracy to coordinate more closely in activities such as: coordinating the exchange and provision of relevant information and documents; ensuring internal political security, network security, and protecting state secrets in the State Audit Office; coordinating in the fight against crime; coordinating in transferring cases with signs of crime and recommending consideration and prosecution of cases with signs of crime...
