In An Giang, there is little good rice, the price is stable, and the warehouse purchases are quite good. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), the price increases slightly, but the supply is low.

Regarding rice, it is noted that rice transactions in localities are moderate, with low supply, stable rice prices, and farmers' offers slightly increased prices. In Can Tho, farmers are offering regular Autumn-Winter rice, with stable prices. In Soc Trang, traders are asking to buy quite a lot, and transactions are moderate.
Specifically, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province, today's rice prices are unchanged compared to yesterday, IR 50404 fluctuates around 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice is at 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice is at 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is at 7,500 - 7,700 VND/kg; OM 380 fluctuates from 6,800 - 7,000 VND/kg; Nhat rice is at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 is at 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg, and Nang Nhen rice (dry) is at 20,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, the sticky rice market recorded no adjustment compared to yesterday. Long An sticky rice (dried) 7,000 - 7,900 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday. IR 4625 sticky rice (fresh) 7,200 - 7,400 VND/kg. Long An sticky rice (fresh) 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg. An Giang sticky rice (fresh) 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg, unchanged compared to yesterday.
Regarding rice, rice prices recorded an adjustment compared to yesterday. Specifically, IR 504 summer-autumn raw rice was at 11,150 - 11,300 VND/kg, an increase of 100 - 150 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice was at 13,250 - 13,400 VND/kg, an increase of 50 - 100 VND/kg.
By-products today recorded an adjustment compared to yesterday. Currently, the price of OM 5451 broken rice increased to 9,100 - 9,300 VND/kg; an increase of 100 VND/kg; the price of dry bran is stable at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice was at $435/ton; 5% broken rice remained stable at $559/ton; and 25% broken rice was at $524/ton.
According to the report of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in the first 7 months of 2024, Vietnam exported 5.18 million tons of rice with a turnover of 3.27 billion USD, up 25.1% in volume and 5.8% in value over the same period last year. The rice sown area reached 6.25 million hectares, up 0.2% over the same period last year; harvested 3.82 million hectares, up 1.3%; average yield was 65.6 quintals/ha, up 0.5 quintals/ha; rice output on the harvested area reached 25 million tons, up 2%.
This growth not only reflects the continuous efforts of Vietnamese enterprises in improving product quality and expanding markets, but also opens up great expectations for rice exports in the second half of 2024.
