On the afternoon of August 13, Lao Cai held a meeting of the Red River Festival Content Subcommittee in 2024 to discuss the implementation plan.

Accordingly, the 2024 Red River Festival will have many rich and attractive activities such as: Opening ceremony with unique fireworks display; displaying beautiful photos, publications, documents, and artifacts about Lao Cai and the Red River; Marathon "Friendship Road" along the international route Lao Cai (Vietnam) - Hong Ha (China); International cycling race "One track - two countries".

As planned, the 2024 Red River Festival will take place from November 7 to 10, with the opening ceremony taking place at 8:00 p.m. on November 9, 2024 at the Central Square, Nam Cuong Ward, Lao Cai City.

The Red River Festival 2024 is organized to strengthen the connection, exchange, and cooperation in economy , culture, and tourism between the Northwestern provinces, the provinces along the Red River of Vietnam and Yunnan province - China; at the same time, promote international cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism of Lao Cai province.

The Festival is held with the expectation that it will be a premise to become a large-scale annual cultural event, unique and special to Lao Cai province.
