
World oil prices today
World oil prices fluctuated in today's trading session, August 1 (Vietnam time). WTI crude oil was at 78.42 USD/barrel, up 0.51 USD/barrel, or 0.65%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at 77.91 USD/barrel and opened today's session at 78.57 USD/barrel.
Brent crude oil was at $80.21 a barrel, down $0.36 a barrel, or 0.44 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at $80.84 a barrel and opened today at $51.53 a barrel.
According to Reuters, US oil inventories fell across the board, with US crude falling by 3.4 million barrels last week, three times the 1.1 million barrel drop analysts had predicted in a Reuters poll.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On August 1, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities currently applying) are as follows:

The above domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of July 26. Accordingly, the price of E5 gasoline decreased by 270 VND/liter; RON 95 gasoline decreased by 290 VND/liter; diesel oil was also adjusted down by 310 VND/liter; kerosene price decreased by 340 VND/liter.
Gasoline discount today
Discount prices of petroleum products today, August 1, at some domestic petroleum dealers are as follows:
Pvoil applies discount rates on August 1: Oil discount 1,850 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,750 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,550 VND/liter. This discount rate is applied at Pvoil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc Petroleum discounts on August 1 as follows: Oil discount: 1,800 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,700 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 1,500 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on August 1: 95-III gasoline: 1,500; E5 gasoline: 1,400; oil: 1,800 VND/liter
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices next period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that in the price adjustment period this afternoon (August 1), petroleum prices will continue to decrease. Of which, gasoline may decrease by 200-300 VND/liter.
Since the beginning of the year, since the price adjustment session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 16 times and decreased 14 times. Oil prices have increased 15 times and decreased 15 times.
