A representative of the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board (MRB) said that among the stations on the Nhon - Cau Giay route, the number of passengers entering the first and last stations, Nhon station (18,253) and Cau Giay station (16,668), is many times higher than the remaining stations.
Immediately after the train officially started running, the number of passengers experiencing the experience increased significantly. Specifically, on August 8, there were about 35,000 passengers, and on August 9, it increased to more than 42,000 passengers. On August 9, due to overcrowding, the Nhon - Hanoi station metro line had to use paper tickets for passengers to experience the train.
“However, the number of passengers has continuously increased, breaking previous “records”. Despite the hot weather, on August 10, people were still very excited about the capital’s new public transport with 66,078 trips,” said an MRB representative.

After more than 14 years of construction, the Nhon - Hanoi Railway Station metro line has completed the elevated section and officially opened for commercial operation since August 8. During the first 15 days, passengers will be free to travel by train.
The route has also completed its connection to the bus system. Notably, along the Nhon-Hanoi Railway Station metro line, 10 parking spots are also arranged within a 500m radius of 8 stations to serve people taking the train.
Places with parking lots include: Cau Giay, La Thanh, Mai Dich bridge, Mai Dich intersection, Khuc Thua Du street, Nguyen Phong Sac street, Tran Quy Kien street and Cau Giay sidewalk.
According to the representative of the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board, the idea of the train design was inspired by natural colors, the green color represents the image of the capital Hanoi and shows the modern, dynamic beauty; combined with the pink-red color of dragon fruit representing Vietnamese agricultural products.
These colors create a gentle, pleasant feeling for the eyes. Inside the train, white, light green, and pink red are used as accents, creating a spacious feeling for passengers.
The train is designed with new technology, European standards, fully equipped with modern amenities such as air conditioning system, ventilation, speaker system, camera inside and in front of the train. The train is illuminated by LED lights, automatically adjusting the brightness for the above-ground and underground sections.
On the train cars there is space for wheelchairs of the disabled, seats reserved for the elderly, pregnant women and children.
In particular, the station is designed as an open space, with doors on both sides of the station to welcome natural wind. Therefore, air conditioning is not used in the stations.
