On the morning of October 20, in Ha Long City , the 7th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Youth Union (VYU) of Quang Ninh province, term 2024 - 2029, took place. Attending and directing the Congress were comrades : Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of Young Pioneers; Nguyen Xuan Hieu , Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union , Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union . On the side of Quang Ninh province, there were comrades: Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Hoi, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

Following the direction of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union and the province, the Provincial Youth Union, for the 2019-2024 term, the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Ninh province has concretized the Congress Resolution in conjunction with the socio-economic development tasks of the province, effectively promoting the advantages of the organization; effectively implementing the movement "I love my homeland" to arouse love for the homeland, inspiring members and young people to participate in building and protecting the homeland. Social security activities, for community life are determinedly implemented by the Union at all levels with the participation of the whole society towards policy beneficiaries, disadvantaged areas, remote areas, border areas, islands, contributing to the implementation of the poverty reduction and social welfare programs of the province. The work of building the Union, uniting and gathering young people is of interest through many forms. Thanks to that, the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Ninh province has achieved and exceeded 10/10 targets set by the 6th Congress Resolution such as: 13 district-level Youth Union units organized 139 activities to equip young people with start-up knowledge; supported 85 innovative start-up projects for young people; planted over 1.3 million new trees; each district, town and city established a foreign language club for young people; mobilized all levels of the Youth Union to organize free medical examinations and medicine for nearly 80,000 people; mobilized all levels of the Youth Union to organize 49,000 units of voluntary blood donation among young people; developed 35,976 new members.

At the Congress, delegates focused on discussing, contributing additional ideas, clarifying the results of the association's work and the youth movement achieved in the past term; at the same time, proposing a number of solutions to effectively implement the association's tasks in the coming term.

In the 2024-2029 term, the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Ninh province agreed on the slogan of action "Pioneer - Solidarity - Creativity - Development". The Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Ninh province also set out 10 specific targets. At the same time, continue to strengthen digital transformation in implementing the movement "I love my Fatherland" with specific solutions, suitable for the socio-economic development of Quang Ninh youth who are patriotic; creative, start-up; proactive, volunteer for community life; participate in preserving and promoting national cultural identity, developing culture, people rich in Quang Ninh identity; solidarity, integration.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Nguyen Xuan Hieu, member of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Federation , praised and acknowledged the positive results that the Vietnam Youth Federation of Quang Ninh province has achieved in the 6th term , as well as new developments in the organization and activities of the youth. In the 2024-2029 term, he suggested that the Vietnam Youth Federation of Quang Ninh province should continue to build a new generation of Quang Ninh youth with comprehensive development through the movement "I love my Fatherland"; focus on and be determined to increase the application of technology, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence; research effective solutions to promote the mindset and skills of youth entrepreneurship; persevere and be determined to carry out the mission of solidarity, widely gathering youth classes, especially specific youth groups; promote model solutions to continue developing the Youth Union in terms of both objects and regions; especially young religious followers, disadvantaged youth have opportunities to develop... He also expressed his belief that the Association and the youth movement of Quang Ninh province will continue to grow in the new period, meeting the trust and expectations of the youth of the whole province.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that over the years, Quang Ninh province has always paid attention to and created favorable conditions for youth and associations at all levels to promote their roles. The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and Provincial People's Committee have issued many directives, resolutions and decisions on youth work; organized annual dialogues to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of union members and young people.

Despite facing many challenges, Quang Ninh province always strives to overcome difficulties, continue to maintain growth, and promote development. The above results have important contributions from the association and Quang Ninh youth through concrete actions.

To realize the aspiration of "Building and developing Quang Ninh into a typical province of the country in all aspects; a model province, rich, beautiful, civilized, modern", the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Ninh province to organize dissemination, propaganda, urgently develop and issue programs and plans to concretize the Congress resolution; strengthen the grasp of public opinion; focus on propaganda to prevent social evils, especially drugs, to contribute to the province's goal of having 105 communes and 4-5 districts free of drugs by 2025.

In addition to effectively implementing emulation movements by the Vietnam Youth Union, Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee , requested the Vietnam Youth Union of Quang Ninh province to creatively implement its own, specific emulation movements, suitable to the actual conditions of the locality; promote and spread start-ups among young people; carry out comprehensive digital transformation, become digital citizens. Further promote representatives to care for and protect the legitimate rights of young people , care for and protect the legitimate rights of young people. Young people also need to actively research, advise, and contribute to the Party Committee and authorities on contents and solutions to further improve the effectiveness of the movement to build advanced, exemplary new rural areas, build urban civilization; develop tourism; develop culture, people rich in Quang Ninh identity. Pay attention to building, consolidating and developing a strong association, truly a broad social organization of the youth, effectively implementing the goal of a strong Union - Broad Association - Outstanding Union members - Active members, widely gathering youth from all walks of life, especially specific groups with the motto that wherever there are youth, there is an association.

Along with that, Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, also requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Fatherland Front, and organizations to pay special attention to the youth, trust in the youth, assign the youth important tasks and responsibilities, regularly care for, monitor, help, and create conditions for the youth to contribute and mature.

At the Congress, delegates heard a report on the results of the consultation to elect 44 members of the Provincial Youth Union Committee; the first conference of the Provincial Youth Union Committee, term VII; and the results of the consultation to elect a delegation to attend the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union, term 2024 - 2029.

Comrade Nguyen The Minh, Deputy Secretary in charge of the Provincial Youth Union, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province, term 6, 2019 - 2024, holds the position of President of the Vietnam Youth Union of the province, term 7, 2024 - 2029.

On this occasion, many groups and individuals were awarded at all levels. The Central Council of Young Pioneers presented many gifts with a total value of 610 million VND to children in Quang Ninh.
