Information from Lai Chau Provincial Police said that on August 12, during the patrol to ensure security and order in Lai Chau city, on Tran Phu street, group 14, Tan Phong ward, Lai Chau city, Patrol team No. 4 of the Traffic Police Force - CS113, PC06 Department picked up a brown leather wallet, inside the wallet were some documents such as: 1 CCCD card in the name of Nguyen Chi Cong, 1 class C driver's license and 1 class A1 driver's license along with: 2,784,000 VND (two million seven hundred and eighty-four thousand VND) in cash.

Immediately after identifying the personal information of the deceased, the working group directly reported to the leaders of Department PC06, conducted verification and notified with the aim of finding the owner of the wallet on social networking sites such as Zalo, Facebook, groups... By August 13, 2024, the owner of the wallet was identified. The CSTT-CS113 force directly contacted Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong by phone number (shared on his personal Facebook page and group pages) to verify with the aim of returning the wallet along with personal documents and assets.

On August 13, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong came to work at the headquarters of the CSTT-CS113 Team, PC06 Department to receive his wallet, all his documents and assets. Mr. Cong emotionally said that he had dropped his wallet, documents and assets while delivering goods in Lai Chau City. He was very happy and grateful for the call to verify the information of the 113 police force to receive the lost assets. Along with that, he sent his deep thanks to the leaders of Lai Chau Provincial Police, the leaders of the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order as well as the CSTT-CS113 force when performing their duties.
