Trinh Hai Dang presented a paper at the 3rd Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Hoang Mai town (Nghe An province).

Growing up in the peaceful countryside of Hoang Mai town (Nghe An province), her constant efforts helped Hai Dang (born in 2001, a former student of sociology, University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Ho Chi Minh National University) reach further. She looked at the big world out there and then returned with the desire to contribute to her homeland.

In 2024, Hai Dang surpassed more than 10,000 candidates worldwide to become one of 100 faces receiving a full scholarship to attend the Yenching Global Conference organized by Peking University. This is one of the major universities in China with a very high competition rate.

Previously, at the 42nd ASEAN Summit held in Indonesia in 2023, Hai Dang was selected by the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam and the International Committee of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to become one of two representatives of Vietnamese youth to attend the Meeting with leaders of ASEAN countries. Dang also attended the Global Youth Summit in Seoul (Korea), receiving a full scholarship from the ASEAN - China Young Leaders Program 2023...

Few people know that before becoming the face chosen to participate in international exchange programs, Dang experienced many uncertain and uncertain periods when he started searching for international exchange scholarships on Google.

One day at the end of her third year of university, the girl born in 2001 happened to see the recruitment information of the Asian Law Students Association (ALSA Forum): "I told myself that I wanted to change. I did not want to continue this series of failures. I started writing an essay, committing to contribute perspectives and values ​​to the forum as a sociology student."

Her efforts unexpectedly helped her enter the top 100 delegates selected to attend the program, then continued to be in the group of 20 best delegates sent to attend the 3rd ASEAN Conference on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (ACCPCJ) held in Thailand.

Within just two years of returning from the conference, Dang began his journey of continuously receiving scholarships and full funding to participate in many other programs.

The opportunity to be selected to participate in a series of programs also helped Dang realize why previous applications failed. In her essays at that time, what Dang expressed was all about her desire to be selected to participate in the trip. She did not express her own values, personality, and what she could contribute to the program and the community as a young person.

The trips not only helped her change her mindset and worldview, but also gave her the opportunity to meet many talented young people, whose stories inspired Dang to aspire to do something for young people in Vietnam.

Dang said that one of the trips that contributed to creating a great source of motivation, helping her to want to contribute more, was the 42nd ASEAN Summit held in Indonesia in 2023: "Here, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh told the young people attending the conference that in the future, ASEAN will be a friendly community, creating an environment for the young generation to develop, contribute and be recognized."

In 2024, together with Miss Intercontinental 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc, Dang was a speaker at the TedxYouth Nam Ha program.

In 2023, Dang became an advisor for the non-profit project PISE to support students in carrying out community activities on waste classification at source, building soft skills, and helping to shorten the opportunity gap of young people in remote urban areas.

She also coordinated with the School Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to organize a Just Talk sharing space for young people on the topic of self-development.

In 2025, she continued to expand the project in both location and scale, increasing access to information for young people.

Taking advantage of the power of social networks with a total of nearly 100,000 followers on Facebook and TikTok platforms, Dang also shares experiences in improving foreign languages ​​such as English and Chinese, how to apply for scholarships and full sponsorship for international exchanges, as well as the journey from zero of a girl from the countryside of Nghe An.

Having participated in dozens of international trips and conferences, the Gen Z girl always wants to contribute her own colors and personality to the program, not only as an individual but also as a young person from Vietnam.

On weekends, the Gen Z girl is still busy running back and forth to many locations, participating in talk shows and workshops, where she is a speaker talking to students. Besides Just Talk, Dang is also building a community for young people interested in international exchange and self-development.

She believes that once the community is built properly, instead of just scattered posts on social networks like now, she will inspire and help someone's life, like she was helped.
