A few days before, many high schools in Go Vap District such as Nguyen Cong Tru, Nguyen Hue, Tran Hung Dao or the Continuing Education Center - Vocational Education Center of District 12... also organized similar music nights. In the central area, the highlight was the Tuoi Hong event of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School (District 3), gathering names loved by young people such as overseas singer Minh Tuyet (also a former student of the school), singer Dong Nhi, singer Vu., and the music group Da LAB.

The first time the school assigned him to be in charge of artist work for the Tuoi Hong music festival, Truong Ngo Gia Bao, a student of class 12A6 at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School , confided that the biggest difficulty was having to balance between studying and working. Because he often spent his evenings and weekends contacting artists, drafting contracts, supporting artists, and coordinating backstage during the event night...

Bao added that the criteria for selecting artists must be people who have a positive influence and are close to teachers and students. "When sending invitations to artists, we always clearly state the charitable purpose of the event so that they understand and are willing to accompany us."

OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS TO SHOW THEIR TALENTS

Mr. Nguyen Van Ba, Vice Principal of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, commented that one of the purposes of the Tuoi Hong program is to create a career playground for students to show their talents, gain practical exposure to the fields of media, fine arts, theater, cinema or event organization... In addition, all foreign affairs work and working with sponsors are carried out by generations of students of the school under the guidance and direction of the school board.

The representative of the Folk Fair organizing committee is a former student of Nguyen Huu Huan High School, Nguyen Quoc Minh Quan, currently working in Singapore. Quan commented that during the 5 months of preparation, generations of students were immersed in a professional working environment with guidance and instruction from teachers and former students with experience in the profession, "a place for everyone to freely rub shoulders in the stages of organizing and communicating events".

Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Vo Nam Quoc, Secretary of the Youth Union of Hung Vuong High School for the Gifted ( Binh Duong ), affirmed that activities such as the spring music night are effective ways for students to develop soft skills, confidence and teamwork spirit, which are essential factors for work as well as life later on. This also helps students develop comprehensively in addition to volunteering.

Vo Hoang Nguyen (stage name Guen), 21 years old, currently studying at the Tokyo Institute of Design (Japan), recently had the opportunity to perform at several spring music nights. Nguyen shared that the school music nights are an opportunity for a student like him to get closer to the general audience. "I am very lucky to have my family support me in my artistic path and am considering returning to Vietnam to apply to the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music," Nguyen said.

Agreeing, Mr. Minh Quan said that the Folk Fair is not only an artistic playground for talented students, but also an opportunity for school clubs and teams to shine. "We also look for talented "seeds" from schools in the city," said Mr. Quan.

COMMUNITY VALUES, LESSONS ON VOLUNTEER SPIRIT

"After deducting the costs of organizing and inviting artists, all revenue is used by the school for social work such as granting scholarships to students in difficult circumstances , building and donating friendship houses to families in difficult circumstances. This is an opportunity for teachers and students to share and join hands to carry out meaningful volunteer missions, and it is also a place where generations of students guide and instruct each other to make the program take shape and succeed," said teacher Nguyen Van Ba.

Mr. Le Minh Trong, Youth Assistant at Nguyen Cong Tru High School (Go Vap District), said that all revenue from the Xuan Ngat Nguong music night was used for charity activities, including the program successfully sponsoring a heart surgery under the "Scars of Life" project, supporting 58 Tet gifts for disadvantaged students at the school, and upgrading the school's facilities. "The school also pays great attention to the community value of the program. Xuan Ngat Nguong is not only an entertainment event, but also an opportunity for students to feel the messages that the program conveys about love and national pride . The school always seeks ways for the program to bring deeper educational values to students, while creating a space for clubs to demonstrate their talents," Mr. Trong emphasized.

EXCITING COMPETITION, CAMPING ACTIVITIES

Many schools also organize a series of other meaningful activities for students to celebrate Tet. For example, Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (District 5) organizes a folk culture festival with the theme "Spring Village"; Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted (District 1) designs a photo booth to raise funds for charity; Talent High School (District 5) holds a spring festival with the theme "Folk Market"...

At non-specialized high schools, the Tet atmosphere is no less impressive. For example, Binh Phu High School (District 6) organized a camping festival with the theme "Welcoming Spring"; Trung Vuong High School (District 1) organized a "Spring Sharing" festival with food stalls, career guidance activities...; Long Truong High School (Thu Duc City) also had a spring festival with activities such as wrapping Chung cakes, making miniature landscapes...

Meanwhile, Marie Curie High School (District 3) continued to organize a camp for grade 12 lasting two days and one night, continuing the tradition of the past 24 years. The event attracted nearly 1,200 participants on January 18 and 19 with many activities such as designing and performing recycled fashion; food stalls; competing in many categories such as decorating the camp gate, "advancing to the Independence Palace", "following the footsteps of the 2nd Army Corps", ringing the golden bell; coming-of-age ceremony... All were directed towards the theme "50 years of unification - Proud and continuing the heroic tradition", according to Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice Principal of the school. Mr. Hung added that the school also organized a "Spring of Charity" for grade 10, creating conditions for students to visit and give gifts at shelters and orphanages, with a total value of gifts and cash of more than 231 million VND.

Ha Duc Cuong, a 12A5 student at Tran Khai Nguyen High School (District 5) and Secretary of the School Youth Union, shared that his friends had just participated in the spring festival. These are all traditional activities, but this year they are more special as they are all geared towards the 50th anniversary of the school's founding in September 2025. As the person in charge of organizing spring activities at the school, Cuong said that the above activities are not only for entertainment purposes and creating an exciting atmosphere before the Lunar New Year, but are also an opportunity for the School Youth Union to raise funds for activities in the "Spring Volunteer" campaign. Not to mention, through the spring festival, students also practice many different skills to learn more about careers.
