Reporting on the general situation of economic and social development, ensuring national defense and security and Party building work since the beginning of the term, the leader of Mu Cang Chai district said that, up to now, Mu Cang Chai district has exceeded 07/21 targets of the District Party Congress Resolution, 06/21 targets reached 90% or more of the Resolution, 04/21 targets reached from 70% to 90%, the rest all reached over 50%.
The economy has developed quite well, the economic structure has shifted in the right direction. The average income per capita reached 34.2 million VND/person/year, reaching 85.5% of the Resolution's target, an increase of 13.8 million VND/person compared to the beginning of the term. The district has gradually formed concentrated production areas such as rose, shiitake mushroom, safe vegetables, sticky rice, and seng cu rice production areas in the communes of Nam Co, Nam Khat, Khao Mang, and Cao Pha with a total area of over 700 hectares.
Trade and service activities, focusing on tourism service development, have initially improved, gradually forming typical tourism products. Revenue from tourism in 2023 reached nearly 356 billion VND, 3.5 times higher than at the beginning of the term.
Culture and society continue to receive attention and care. National target programs are led, directed and implemented in the district in a synchronous manner... In particular, the district has directed the successful trial planting of 6 hectares of various types of ginseng...

Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra presents motorbikes to Party cell secretaries in particularly disadvantaged villages of Mu Cang Chai district.
Speaking at the meeting and gift-giving ceremony, Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra expressed her joy and excitement at the positive changes of Yen Bai province in general and Mu Cang Chai district in particular since the beginning of the term of the Party Congress at all levels. The Minister was very impressed with the achievements in Party building and political system, new rural construction, and sustainable poverty reduction of the province and district; in particular, with creative and methodical approaches, Yen Bai has eliminated over 3,000 temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households according to the project for the period of 2023-2025.
Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra hopes that Mu Cang Chai district will continue to make more efforts to develop more strongly, quickly achieve the goal of sustainable poverty reduction, make people's lives happier and more prosperous, ensure that people's lives in the district are equal to the general level of the whole province; determined to excellently fulfill the tasks and goals of the Resolution of the 19th District Party Committee, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020 - 2025 term.

Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra presented motorbikes to 13 Military Commands of communes in Mu Cang Chai district.
Sharing the difficulties of the mountainous district of Mu Cang Chai, Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra presented 50 motorbikes worth 1 billion VND (of which, 37 motorbikes were given to 37 Party cell secretaries in particularly difficult villages of the district and 13 motorbikes were given to 13 Military Commands of communes). These are very practical and meaningful gifts, helping the Party cell secretaries, village chiefs, and military command commanders of communes in carrying out political tasks in the locality.

On this occasion, on behalf of the Ministry of Home Affairs Trade Union, Chairwoman of the Ministry Trade Union, Director of the Planning and Finance Department Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy presented funding to support the construction of 01 cultural house in My Hang Tua Chu village, Pung Luong commune worth 800 million VND; leaders of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam - Yen Bai branch presented funding to build 03 community learning houses for Nam Khat and Cao Pha Che Tao communes worth 2 billion VND. After completion, the projects will be places for people to organize meetings, participate in learning, improve their knowledge, contribute to eliminating illiteracy, reducing poverty, preserving and promoting cultural identity and traditional values of ethnic groups.
