( Bqp.vn ) - On the afternoon of August 7, at the 12th Corps, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army held a conference to announce the Decision of the Minister of National Defense, implementing the Project "Innovation in social sciences and humanities education in schools of the Vietnam People's Army". Attending the conference were representatives of leaders and commanders of functional agencies of the Ministry of National Defense, the General Staff, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; representatives of leaders and commanders of the 12th Corps and political agencies, propaganda agencies, training agencies, teachers of academies and schools throughout the army.

Speaking at the conference, Colonel Tong Van Thanh requested agencies and units to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the resolutions, conclusions and directives of the Central Committee, the Central Military Commission, and the Ministry of National Defense on military and defense work and education, training and scientific research. Continue to comprehensively innovate the content and teaching methods of social sciences and humanities based on the content of the plan to implement the Project and seriously implement the social sciences and humanities education program issued by the General Department of Politics. Further innovate the work of social sciences and humanities research, creating progress in scale, quality and efficiency, contributing to improving the quality of education and training.

Along with that, strengthen Party work, political work in education, training and school building; thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the Project of the Ministry of National Defense on "Building a team of teachers and educational managers in the Army for the period 2023 - 2030"; take care to build a strong Party organization, a team of cadres in charge of teaching departments, educational managers and a strong team of social sciences and humanities teachers.

At the conference, the Organizing Committee announced the Decision of the Minister of National Defense and deployed the Project with basic contents on viewpoints, goals, requirements, contents, tasks and solutions as follows:

Regarding viewpoints: Thoroughly grasp and correctly implement the viewpoints, guidelines and policies of the Party, the Constitution and laws of the State; the leadership and direction of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, contributing to best serving the cause of building the Army, consolidating national defense, and protecting the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; arousing creativity, enhancing responsibility in social science and humanities research; proposing fundamental, comprehensive, scientific solutions with appropriate roadmaps and steps. Innovation must be synchronous in the direction of standardization and modernization; promoting the role and responsibility of organizations and forces, especially the role and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, political commissars, political officers, commanders and political agencies.

Regarding the objectives: To innovate the leadership of Party committees and organizations, the direction and guidance of political commissars, political officers, commanders, political cadres, functional agencies and units; to thoroughly grasp, deploy and organize implementation to ensure scientific, synchronous and practical effectiveness; to have inheritance and connection of programs and contents between levels, grades and fields of study; to raise awareness and responsibility of organizations and forces conducting social science and humanities education in military schools; to contribute to building political mettle, goals and fighting ideals so that soldiers, defense workers and civil servants of the entire army always maintain and promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new period, absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland, the People and the socialist regime, steadfast and sharp in politics and ideology, with pure ethics and lifestyle, comprehensive knowledge and capacity, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Regarding requirements: Synchronize goals, contents, programs, methods, and educational and training methods in the direction of modernity, international integration, comprehensive human development, meeting the goal of building a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern People's Army by 2030. Comprehensive and rigorous innovation, following the motto of "basic, systematic, unified, and specialized" associated with the motto "the quality of school training is the combat readiness of the unit"; firmly maintain the ideological orientation, guidelines, and viewpoints of the Party. Ensure adequate programs, textbooks, and documents for all subjects, associated with innovation in forms and methods of organizing teaching of social sciences and humanities, ensuring diversity, richness, liveliness, attractiveness, and achieving practical results.

The content of innovation includes: Leadership, direction, coordination, guidance, implementation, organization; program development, compilation of textbooks, educational materials for social sciences and humanities; methods, forms of teaching, learning, testing, assessment of learning outcomes in social sciences and humanities; scientific research activities, seminars, training, fostering, competitions and supplementary activities to improve the quality of education in social sciences and humanities; organization and operation of specialized subject councils in the field of social sciences and humanities in military schools; work to ensure facilities, equipment and supplementary activities towards promoting digital transformation in management, operation, teaching of social sciences and humanities.

Regarding tasks and solutions: Strengthen the leadership, direction and guidance of Party committees, Party organizations, leading cadres, political agencies of school management units, and schools on innovation; promote propaganda and education to raise awareness and responsibility for organizations and forces. Closely coordinate between agencies and units with academies, schools, and educational institutions inside and outside the Army to innovate; synchronously combine programs and content with innovation in teaching methods and forms; organize exams, tests and evaluate results; promote and improve the quality and effectiveness of research, apply research results in social sciences and humanities, information technology, and digital transformation to teaching and learning in military schools. Pay attention to building, training, fostering, and training a team directly doing social sciences and humanities education to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation; Complete, standardize, and synchronize the system of textbooks and teaching materials, invest in facilities and equipment; strengthen inspection, review, evaluation, summary, and experience sharing in teaching social sciences and humanities.
