City Party Secretary works with Danang Biotechnology Center

The Danang Biotechnology Center was established in November 2010, and is a public science and technology unit under the Department of Science and Technology of Danang. In 2020, the City People's Committee approved the Project "Expanding and upgrading the Danang Biotechnology Center to serve research and development in the South Central region", from which the center is oriented to become a strong research and technology development (R&D) and incubation complex, capable of interdisciplinary connection and leading the innovation ecosystem in the fields of biotechnology, processing technology and related industries. After listening to the report on the operation situation, advantages, difficulties and recommendations and proposals of the Center's staff, along with the explanations of related units, Party Central Committee member, City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts and initial results of the unit in its efforts to research, connect knowledge - technology - market, and commercialize products in difficult working conditions.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang also suggested reviewing and reorienting the vision for central development in the context of Da Nang City with the development space for agriculture, forestry and fishery being expanded many times. The requirement is to innovate thinking, to surpass oneself to create a difference.

The Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee also requested the Da Nang Biotechnology Center to pay attention to promoting the quality of available human resources to create a premise for attracting highly qualified human resources to the unit. Along with that, it is necessary to pay attention to, strengthen and promote international cooperation, enhance its position to develop commensurate with the investment and development orientation of the city./.
