Military Hospital 121 (http://benhvienquany121.vn) main facility located in Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City includes Area A (address No. 01, 30/4 Street, Tan An Ward) with an area of 45,100m2 and Area B (Medical Staff Training Center) with an area of 9,349m2 at No. 227, 30/4 Street, Xuan Khanh Ward. Colonel, Meritorious Doctor, Doctor CK2 Tran Manh Hung, Director of Military Hospital 121, said that the hospital currently has 35 departments and divisions with nearly 500 medical and pharmaceutical staff (154 doctors), of which 60% have postgraduate degrees. The hospital has invested in modern and synchronous medical equipment, contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment for all health insurance patients from the provinces and cities. Many modern equipment support diagnosis and treatment such as CT scanner, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), digital subtraction angiography (DSA) for timely diagnosis of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, scintigraphy machine (Spect CT for kidney scintigraphy, bone scintigraphy, thyroid scintigraphy), liver elastography machine (Fibroscan), Cobas 6000 testing system, cold biopsy system, electron microscope system, digestive endoscope, bone densitometer, spinal traction machine and other advanced equipment to help improve the effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment.

On March 24, 2025, Military Hospital 121 continued to inaugurate a 1,200m2 blood filtration center built from the hospital's own funds. The center is equipped with 45 modern blood filtration machines and a team of experts including 14 highly qualified doctors and 42 technicians and medical staff.
According to Dr. Tran Manh Hung, from the Artificial Kidney Department established in 2000, after more than 25 years of operation and development, the center has filtered blood for hundreds of thousands of patients. In 2023, the center filtered 24,400 patients; in 2024, it filtered 33,835 cases (an increase of 38.67%), of which 7 critical cases were saved by CRRT. In the first quarter of 2025, the center filtered 12,091 patients, an increase of 58% over the same period in 2024. The center is a close combination between the Artificial Kidney Department and the Emergency Resuscitation Department in applying online HDF kidney filtration methods, CRRT continuous blood filtration, plasma exchange blood filtration, and adsorption blood filtration in the treatment of patients with infections, poisoning, and life-threatening multiple organ failure. In the coming time, the 121 Military Hospital's Blood Filtration Center will deploy 13 more modern blood filtration machines. In the period of 2026 - 2027, the center will have 75 machines, including many ultrafiltration machines.

Along with investing in a modern blood filtration center, Military Hospital 121 is also actively preparing to deploy in vitro fertilization (IVF) techniques to serve the practical needs of many infertile couples. Accordingly, on March 29, 2025, a working delegation from the Military Medical Academy and the Military Clinical Embryology Institute arrived at Military Hospital 121 to carry out necessary tasks to support and transfer IVF in the coming time. After working and grasping information related to the preparation work, the delegation visited the actual equipment and facilities of Military Hospital 121.
Colonel, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Nhat Dinh, Deputy Director of the Military Medical Academy, highly appreciated the preparations of Military Hospital 121 and requested to speed up the progress further. Military Hospital 121 prepared all aspects and created the best conditions for experts to transfer knowledge, experience and skills. Military Hospital 121 sent doctors and technicians to fully participate in training sessions; at the same time, absorb and creatively apply the transferred knowledge and skills related to IVF.
