Quality management and patient safety play an important role in the current medical examination and treatment system of the health sector. These are key factors to ensure that medical services are provided effectively, with quality and continuity, meeting the high standards of health care for the people of the capital.
With the efforts of the entire team, MEDLATEC General Hospital is considered one of the top hospitals in quality management.
Pursuant to Official Dispatch No. 479/QD-SYT dated February 27, 2024 of the Hanoi Department of Health on re-inspection and assessment of hospital quality, patient satisfaction and medical staff. On April 3, 2024, the Quality Assessment Inspection Working Group of the Hanoi Department of Health led by Ms. Ha Thu Huong - Deputy Head of the Medical Affairs Department, Hanoi Department of Health as Deputy Head of the Delegation inspected and scored the hospital quality assessment at MEDLATEC General Hospital.
During the inspection, the delegation members inspected and evaluated the Vietnam Hospital Quality Criteria version 2.0; surveyed the satisfaction of patients and medical staff; inspected the emergency and intensive care work; applied information technology in administrative reform to improve quality and responded to a number of documents serving state management. After a period of urgent, serious and objective work by the delegation of the Hanoi Department of Health, MEDLATEC General Hospital achieved the following remarkable results:
- Overall result: MEDLATEC General Hospital scored 263.3/300 points.
- Regarding the main content: checking and evaluating hospital quality according to the Vietnamese Hospital Quality Criteria version 2.0, the hospital achieved 4.21/5 points (an increase of 0.21 points compared to 2022).
- Survey results on patient and medical staff satisfaction: Inpatient satisfaction rate reached 100% satisfaction; outpatient satisfaction rate reached 99.9% satisfaction; medical staff satisfaction rate reached 99.9% satisfaction.
In her concluding remarks, Ms. Ha Thu Huong - Deputy Head of Medical Affairs Department, Hanoi Department of Health highly appreciated the improvements and continuous efforts of MEDLATEC General Hospital and hoped that the hospital would continue to promote its strengths and advantages, overcome shortcomings to enhance quality improvement.
In addition, the hospital was assessed by the Evaluation Team as having a team of highly qualified medical staff , performing advanced techniques, especially testing techniques. In 2023, the hospital made many efforts to improve and enhance the quality of the hospital: Facilities were upgraded and renovated to meet development needs; there were administrative reform measures in medical examination and treatment. Key criteria aimed at patients were respected.
The hospital has focused on human resource development, ensuring human resources according to the job position plan. Professional activities are implemented with a focus on quality. Training is implemented with training courses, conferences, and seminars to continuously update knowledge and improve technical and professional skills and management for staff.
In particular, quality improvement activities are strengthened and improved: establishing a Quality Management Council system, a Quality Management team, a quality management network trained to update knowledge and deploy quality improvement activities throughout the hospital.
