Previously, on the night of April 11, Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Ngoc suddenly received a notice of balance change from the bank's application, the added amount was 3.5 billion VND. Knowing that someone had mistakenly transferred the above amount into her account, this morning, April 12, Ms. Ngoc proactively went to Ward 2 Police (Bao Loc City) to report the incident; at the same time, notified the bank to freeze her account to avoid any unexpected events.

Using professional measures, the Ward 2 Police force verified that the account owner who transferred the money by mistake was Vu Thi Hai Yen (32 years old, residing in My Loc commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province).

Immediately afterwards, Ward 2 Police contacted Ms. Yen to inform her about the mistaken transfer of 3.5 billion VND into Ms. Ngoc's account. However, due to having to take care of a small child, Ms. Yen authorized Mr. Bui Duc Hau (Ms. Yen's husband) to book a flight ticket from Thai Binh to Bao Loc City to receive the above amount.

On the same afternoon, Mr. Bui Duc Hau (Ms. Yen's husband) was present at the Ward 2 Police Headquarters to coordinate with Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Ngoc and the Ward 2 Police officers to complete the procedures to receive the above amount of money. Immediately after that, Ms. Ngoc transferred the amount of 3.5 billion VND to the account of Ms. Yen's family.

It is known that Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Ngoc is currently working at the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bao Loc City. “The amount of 3.5 billion VND is very large, but it is not mine, if I greedily use it for personal purposes, it is a violation of the law. Therefore, not only me, but anyone will find a way to return it to the owner. However, before returning it, I think I have to report to the authorities to verify and clarify to avoid unwanted consequences,” Ms. Ngoc shared.

Present to receive the mistakenly transferred money, Mr. Bui Duc Hau (Ms. Yen's husband) sent his sincere thanks to Ms. Phan Thi Thanh Ngoc and Ward 2 Police for quickly verifying and helping his family receive back the large amount of money that his wife had mistakenly transferred.
