The remaining additional area of 3 hectares, the two localities are continuing to complete the procedures for additional planning and will then hand it over for expansion construction.
"On the area that has just been handed over, investors can plan to construct items in advance such as parking lots and rest stop facilities to ensure meeting the needs of stopping on the highway.
Other auxiliary items will continue to be implemented after the locality hands over more land," Mr. Thai informed.
The 99km Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway passing through Dong Nai and Binh Thuan provinces will be opened to traffic at the end of April 2024. To serve the needs of road users, two rest stops are planned to be built on this expressway at Km 47+500 (two-way).
At the end of June 2024, the Vietnam Expressway Administration approved the winning investor to build and operate the rest stop at Km 47+500 of the road, the FUTABUSLINES - Thanh Hiep Phat joint venture.
