That was the sharing of Nguyen Thi Kim Thoa, a student at Duy Tan University (Da Nang) in the art program "Aspiration of Vietnamese Students" on Tho Chau Island on the evening of August 10.
This art night is one of the activities of the program "Students with the sea and islands of the Fatherland" in 2024, organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association from August 8 to 11 in Tho Chau island commune (Phu Quoc city, Kien Giang).
Kim Thoa was moved when she was able to sing on Tho Chau island.

In the art program, Kim Thoa was the only female soloist. From the audience, we were truly moved when Kim Thoa sang the first words of the song Dawn of the Calling Land , a song about her homeland.
Mr. Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, participated in the VUG Running activity with soldiers from Tho Chau island and students.

Nearly 500 spectators seemed to be on their feet, even standing on their chairs to join in with Kim Thoa's lyrics. After finishing singing, Kim Thoa stayed on stage to share with the audience, especially the soldiers of Regiment 152 who were present at the program. "I am really touched to sing in this art program, because this is the first time I have sung for an audience that is very special to me, the soldiers of Regiment 152. I wish you soldiers good health and to complete your assigned tasks well," Kim Thoa said before leaving the stage.

"Honestly, when performing this song, I was very nervous and emotional, because this was the first time I sang in such a far away place and especially my audience this time were soldiers of Regiment 152," Kim Thoa said, adding that previously Thoa's audience was only union members and young people.

Mr. Ngo Van Cuong, Secretary of the Central Youth Union, head of the delegation, assessed that the activities of the program "Students with the sea and islands of the Fatherland" in 2024 were of very high quality, with careful investment, especially the preparation work of the organizing committee. The activities of the program have truly achieved the goal of educating revolutionary traditions and ideals for union members, young people, especially students. Mr. Ngo Van Cuong said that during the 3 days of the program on Phu Quoc Island and Tho Chau Island, the students organized many social security activities, sports activities, and meetings with soldiers to connect the mainland with the sea and islands of the Fatherland, helping to further increase the love for the homeland of students in the coming time.
