Accordingly, for epidemic areas, the Commune People's Committee will isolate the epidemic area, promptly implement measures to surround, control, extinguish the epidemic, prevent the spread of the epidemic; destroy sick pigs, suspected sick pigs, and dead pigs according to the instructions of specialized agencies. Prohibit people without duties from entering areas with sick or dead livestock; restrict people from entering and leaving epidemic areas.
Temporarily suspend slaughtering, bringing in, taking out or circulating pigs and pig products in epidemic areas, except in cases where transportation is permitted according to regulations of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Continuously disinfect and sterilize (with lime powder, chemicals, etc.) areas with outbreaks, access routes to outbreaks, and areas at high risk of outbreaks, and establish quarantine checkpoints.

According to the People's Committee of Hoa Vang district, the areas threatened by the epidemic are Hoa Phu, Hoa Son, Hoa Khuong, Hoa Tien, Hoa Nhon, and Hoa Lien communes.
The People's Committees of these communes will control the entry and exit of pigs and pig products from the epidemic area; strictly control the slaughter and transportation of animals and animal products in the epidemic-threatened area; organize propaganda and dissemination of measures to prevent and control animal diseases...

On the same day, Mr. Kieu Dinh Cong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Xuan Yen Commune (Nghi Xuan District, Ha Tinh Province) said that the household of Ms. Phan Thi Hong (Yen Nam Village) had African swine fever, causing 12/32 pigs to be infected and had to be treated.

As soon as the disease was detected, local authorities and relevant agencies set up checkpoints to control the trading, transportation and slaughter of pigs in the epidemic area and related areas; cleaned and disinfected high-risk livestock areas, and sprinkled lime powder on traffic routes leading to and from the epidemic area. In addition, they increased propaganda and information about the epidemic situation so that people could clearly understand and proactively take measures to prevent the disease from spreading.
