Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications said that on August 9, the agency invited Nam Thu Entertainment Company Limited to work on organizing a "Meeting the Media" on August 5, 2024 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Through the working session, the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City informed about the regulations related to the organization of press conferences and determined that the content and form of the "Media Meeting" organized by Nam Thu Entertainment Company Limited on August 5, 2024 was a press conference but did not notify the competent State management agency in advance in writing.

The Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City has imposed an administrative penalty on Nam Thu Entertainment Company Limited for organizing a press conference without prior written notice to the competent State management agency as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 11 of Decree No. 119/2020/ND-CP dated October 7, 2020 of the Government stipulating administrative penalties for violations in press and publishing activities; amended and supplemented by Decree No. 14/2022/ND-CP dated January 27, 2022. The administrative fine is 2 million VND.
