According to the regulations of Ho Chi Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy, candidates with IELTS Academic 6.0 or higher are eligible to apply for admission to all majors.

Candidates with IELTS Academic from 5.0 to under 6.0 are eligible to apply for admission to the following majors: Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Nursing, Nursing specializing in Anesthesia and Resuscitation, Midwifery, Nutrition, Dental Prosthetics, Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Imaging Technology, Rehabilitation Technology, Public Health.

In the first year of admission, 68 candidates submitted SAT scores for admission to the School of Medicine and Dentistry. The quota for the School of Medicine was 20; for Dentistry, 6.

Admission requirements are candidates with SAT scores of 1,340 or higher. Candidates can only choose 1 score from the valid exams. The required conditions for admission are that candidates must have graduated from high school and the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam must have a total score of 3 exams/subjects: Math, Chemistry, Biology and priority points (if any) must be equal to or above the minimum score threshold to ensure input quality as prescribed by the school's Admissions Council.

The Admissions Council will make a list of candidates registering for each major in descending order of admission scores. The list of successful candidates will be selected according to admission scores, from highest to lowest until the quota is met.
