On the morning of August 11, Van Don District Medical Center (Quang Ninh Province) informed that the unit's doctors had crossed the sea that night to perform an emergency operation, saving the life of a patient bitten by a venomous snake in critical condition.
Accordingly, on the night of August 9, Mr. Ly Dang T. (born in 1962, in Quan Lan commune, Van Don district) went to visit the field and was bitten by a banded krait on the leg. Immediately afterwards, Mr. T. was taken by relatives to the Quan Lan Regional General Clinic for examination in a state of heavy bleeding in his right ankle. Here, patient T. was given emergency treatment with intravenous fluids and injections to treat inflammation. The clinic's doctors determined that the patient's health condition had worsened, with a high risk of endangering his life, so they immediately called a representative of the Van Don District Medical Center for consultation to transfer the patient to the treatment center immediately.

Immediately after receiving the information, during the night, the emergency team of Van Don District Medical Center drove an ambulance across the sea to Quan Lan Regional General Clinic to pick up patient T. for treatment. After more than 2 hours of continuous boating during the night, in the early morning of August 10, the emergency team picked up and brought patient T. to the Department of Surgery, Anesthesia, Emergency Resuscitation and Anti-Poisoning, Van Don District Medical Center for treatment.
Here, the patient was examined and treated by doctors who washed the wound, administered IV fluids, provided pain relief, anti-inflammatories, and performed basic tests to assess the patient's overall condition. After more than a day of monitoring, care, and treatment, patient T.'s health has stabilized and he is expected to be discharged next week.
