One of the activities that attracts a large number of people and tourists to visit, learn and experience is the "Highland Cultural Space" with traditional cultural identities of ethnic groups: Mong, Thai, Ha Nhi, Dao, Kho Mu... Local people and tourists are bustling and passionate about the bamboo dance, Mong flute, Thai xoa; attentive to each thread, embroidery stitch, brocade weaving frame; floating with a cup of buffalo horn wine... The highland cultural space recreates the cultural colors and community activities of the community of 19 ethnic groups living in Dien Bien province.

With 19 ethnic groups living together, Dien Bien has a rich and colorful culture of each community. Through the "Highland Cultural Space" at this Hoa Ban Festival, the unique traditional cultural values, the beauty of the land and people of Dien Bien have left a beautiful impression on visitors, contributing to preserving, conserving and honoring the cultural identity of the ethnic minorities here. In 2024, the Photo and Video Contest "Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam" continues to be organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the website https://happy.vietnam.vn for all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and over. The contest aims to honor individuals and groups with positive information products, making practical contributions to the propaganda and promotion of beautiful images of Vietnam to the world.
