When it comes to Vietnam's television industry, we cannot fail to mention VTC Digital Television. Promoting the application of new television technology and promoting competition is VTC's contribution. VTC members have every right to be proud of their contributions to Vietnam's television industry. The Ministry of Information and Communications always acknowledges this contribution. But when it comes to VTC, we must mention VTC Corporation. When it comes to VTC Corporation, we must mention the courage and desire for innovation of the late General Director Thai Minh Tan, who separated VTC from Vietnam Television to follow his own path in digital technology. When the entire television industry at that time still considered analog technology a "safe zone", VTC had a desire to develop digital terrestrial television. That desire, combined with the foresight of the head of the Post and Telecommunications sector at that time, Minister Do Trung Ta, gave birth to "VTC Digital Television". Thanks to the determination to move straight to digital technology of generations of leaders of the postal industry since the 90s of the last century, Vietnam's telecommunications has today's position and potential. And also thanks to that vision, the Vietnamese television sector has a pioneering unit that chooses digital technology as the reason for its birth and development. This breakthrough of VTC is the basis for the Prime Minister to approve the Project "Digitization of transmission and broadcasting of terrestrial television by 2020" , to modernize Vietnam's television. VTC Station, established when VTC Corporation was having glorious years, when the total revenue of the Corporation sometimes reached 9,000 billion VND a year, has brought great support to VTC Station to do digital television and innovation. Digital terrestrial television technology, clear images, many new attractive program channels (especially sports and entertainment), when broadcast television still did not have many choices, cable and satellite television were not yet developed. VTC also creates its mark and competitive advantage through promoting digital technology connections and sharing content with local radio and television stations. The station is also the first unit to launch 3 specialized television channels following the model of ordering public career services from the State budget. For organizations, 10 years is usually a period. VTC Television has gone through 2 periods. There are ups and downs. This is also the impermanent law of Heaven and Earth.

The first 10 years are for starting a business, for establishing a career. There is nothing to lose. There is nothing in hand but the dream is big. There is little material but there is plenty of spirit. New technology is just like a small star in the distance but the attraction is mesmerizing. Income is low but labor is relentless day and night. This is often the healthiest development stage of an organization. During these 10 years, VTC Station is the driving force behind the development of Vietnamese digital television. VTC also grew rapidly. VTC Station entered the top group of television stations. 10 years later, VTC Station separated from VTC Corporation. Operating in a business, with an enterprise mechanism, but separating into a public service unit with a completely different mechanism is certainly not simple. VTC Station separated as a business, carrying assets and debts. But when separated, VTC Station had to operate as a public service unit, with the main political task, not business. And so this separation could not be done quickly and decisively, which it should have been.

If VTC wants to have a new page, that is the first thing to do. Also according to the law of impermanence, the next 10 years will be a new page in the development of VTC Digital Television. That new page is in the hands of VTC people. The future is always created by us. Let's start with a big dream. A big dream, a big mission will always have the energy and guidance of Heaven and Earth.

In the hundreds of thousands of pieces of information, there will be something that tells us, something that makes us realize, sometimes it is just a word, less than a sentence, sometimes it comes from an unknown person, not a sage. In the opposite case, we do not think about anything, do not worry about anything, then even if there is a very wise person, even a sage, who spends an hour explaining special things to us, after the meeting everything will be the same as before. So Heaven and Earth out there already have all the instructions, you just need to expand your antenna beam, you just need to increase your antenna sensitivity. But this only comes when we think day and night, worry and desire for the development of VTC Digital Television Station.

The spirit that created VTC in the early days will be the luggage for you to write a new page of your own in the next 10 years. Let's inherit the past and write a new page of our generation, a new page in the history of VTC. The most difficult times are the times when we need to return to our initial aspirations, wishes and entrepreneurial spirit. VTC was born in the first Innovation of the Information and Communications industry. So, VTC should be reborn in the second Innovation of the Information and Communications industry. The first innovation is telecommunications infrastructure, the second innovation is digital infrastructure. The first is broadcast television infrastructure, the second is on-demand television infrastructure. The first is technical digitization, technical innovation from analog to digital. The second is comprehensive digitization, innovation in the way of doing things. The first is information and IT, the second is data and AI. The first is software for you to do your job, the second is the platform for others to do your job. The first time is basically still living and working in the real world. The second time is basically living and working in the digital world. The first time, technology is important. The second time, innovative thinking is important.

The Ministry of Information and Communications is also a companion in solving difficulties and obstacles as well as orientations and policy mechanisms for the development of VTC.
