In Ho Chi Minh City alone, on this occasion, Vinamilk will donate nearly 100,000 nutritional products to about 2,000 children in special circumstances at social work centers, open houses, shelters... and students in suburban districts such as Cu Chi, Hoc Mon... This is also where Vinamilk has its first factories and is the cradle of the "white revolution" - the dairy farming movement launched by Vinamilk more than 30 years ago - creating the initial foundation for the development of the national dairy industry today.

Carrying out the activities in the special atmosphere to celebrate the great national holidays, Vinamilk representative - Mr. Do Thanh Tuan, Director of External Relations - said: "The country is at a very special historical milestone, celebrating the 50th anniversary of unification. Vinamilk launched the Milk Fund program on this occasion with the desire to express gratitude to the previous generations who protected and built the Fatherland and not forget to continue the mission of caring for and developing the future generations of the nation. The milk boxes given today not only contribute to supplementing practical nutrition but also encourage and motivate the children to strive to study hard, to become useful citizens in the future", Mr. Tuan expressed his hope.

“Educating the tradition of patriotism, remembering the origin and the sacrifices of our ancestors to gain independence and freedom for the country has always been of interest and focus to the school. The milk fund that Vinamilk and the Vietnam Children's Fund give to the children on these special days is a very meaningful gift to help them understand more deeply the spirit of drinking water and remembering its source of the nation; as well as feel the care and concern of the community and society during their growing up process”, the Principal shared.

Persistent efforts for the mission of "caring"

As one of about 70 locations that will receive milk from the Milk Fund program on this occasion, a representative of the City Youth Social Work - Vocational Education Center said that they really appreciate the affection, as well as the fun and warm activities that Vinamilk has organized for the children.

“The milk fund that Vinamilk and the Vietnam Children’s Fund donate to children is a much-needed source of supplementary nutrition to help them develop comprehensively, both physically and mentally. This is a practical resource that, together with the state, helps care for children in less fortunate conditions,” said Mr. Le Ba Hoang, Deputy Director of the center.

Present at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Children's Fund - highly appreciated Vinamilk's sense of responsibility in its journey of persistently accompanying the Fund. "In its chain of activities, the Vietnam Children's Fund always has the companionship and cooperation of many individuals and organizations. But there are few organizations that have a long-term and sustainable journey like Vinamilk. From Vinamilk's program, the message that every child has the opportunity to access the best quality nutritional products has been spread, inspiring many other organizations and businesses to follow suit, helping more children in special circumstances to develop comprehensively, integrate and contribute to society," Ms. Hien shared.

Launched in 2008, the Vietnam Grow Up Milk Fund is the largest and most sustainable children's program to date with the goal of "giving every child equal access to the best quality nutritional products". Up to now, the program has been implemented for 18 consecutive years, with nearly 43 million glasses of milk donated to nearly 550,000 children in difficult and special circumstances across the country.

Along with 500,000 boxes of milk from the Milk Fund program, it is estimated that on this occasion, the enterprise donated more than 630,000 products with a total value of nearly 5 billion VND in nutritional care activities for workers, students, children in difficult circumstances, veterans affected by the war, people in special circumstances... across the country.

In the upcoming series of major events celebrating the 50th anniversary of national reunification taking place in Ho Chi Minh City, Vinamilk will also accompany the City in supporting nutritional products and drinking water for the organizing committee, organizations, participating forces and people present to join in the special atmosphere of the day the country is full of joy.
