Launch pad for fashion enthusiasts
Director Long Kan said the project's goal is to create a launching pad for new generation designers to develop their personal brands, realize their dreams, and promote their designs to fashion enthusiasts. This is also a playground for students with a passion for fashion and young designers to contribute to the overall development of Vietnamese fashion. Founder and director Long Kan said that Vietnam Next-Gen Fashion will be held annually for students and fashion students nationwide before they enter the "stage of life". The project will provide knowledge, experience and professional catwalk experience, creating a foundation for young designers to start a business in the future. 11 schools and academies confirmed to participate in the first stage
The first show is scheduled to take place in October 2024 with a professional catwalk, promising to bring many surprises to the audience. Currently, there are 11 universities and academies nationwide that have confirmed their participation in the first Vietnam Next-Gen Fashion catwalk, such as: Hanoi University of Architecture, University of Industrial Fine Arts, Hanoi Open University, Hanoi University of Industry and Textiles, Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture; Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH), Van Lang University, Hoa Sen University, Ton Duc Thang University and FACE Fashion Design Academy. During the evaluation of the students' graduation collections, director Long Kan and the expert council selected the top 3 designers that fit the fashion trends and criteria of Vietnam Next-Gen Fashion .
