Vietnam attends "International Food and Hotel Supplies Exhibition 2024"

Continuing the series of activities to welcome the official State visit of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to India, in order to promote trade promotion, contributing to the development of the "Vietnam - India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership" to become more and more practical and effective, the Vietnam Trade Office in India organized a booth to promote products and the Vietnamese Food Festival at the International Exhibition on Food and Supplies for Restaurants and Hotels in India (IHE) 2024 from August 3 to 6, 2024.

IHE 2024 was officially opened at the India Exhibition and Convention Center in Noida, Uttar Pradesh with the participation of Indian Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Myanmar Ambassador Moe Kyaw Aung, Vietnam Trade Counselor Bui Trung Thuong, Chairman of India Exhibition and Convention Center - Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Director of Aakar Exhibition - Premal Mehta... along with many local officials, domestic and foreign business leaders. At the opening ceremony of the IHE exhibition, Vietnam was officially announced as a partner country of IHE.

Indian Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat delivered the opening speech and announced Vietnam as a partner country of IHE.

Inaugurating the exhibition, Minister Shekhawat said that the event has played a significant role in promoting the Indian hospitality industry over the past six years and highlighted the potential of the hospitality industry globally. He said that tourism has the potential to contribute to making India the third largest economy in the world and that India possesses all the resources to create a world-class tourism industry.

The Government of India is committed to developing the tourism and hospitality sector with excellence. Minister Shekhawat highlighted the significance of IHE 2024 in shaping the future of Indian tourism and addressing the gaps to drive further growth. Meanwhile, Chairman of the India Expo and Convention Centre, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, said that “the exhibition will set new milestones for the Indian economy” in the context of the South Asian country’s “successful hosting of the G20 Summit and India’s commitment to the theme ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – The World is One Family”.

Indian Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat visits Vietnam pavilion

After the opening ceremony, the Vietnam Trade Office in India inaugurated the Vietnam Pavilion in the presence of Minister Shekhawat, leaders of ministries, departments, associations, industries, businesses and Indian, Vietnamese and international press. The Vietnam Pavilion attracted a lot of attention and appreciation from Indian and other countries' companies as well as visitors to the fair. Products displayed at the pavilion included typical items such as instant noodles, pho, coffee, tourism and aviation services with the participation of Vietnamese enterprises such as UNIBEN, Vietnam Airlines, Vietravel... Thereby, contributing to promoting Vietnamese culinary and tourism products and services, increasing exports, developing the market in India in particular and the world in general.

Vietnam booth attracted attention and high appreciation from partners and visitors to the fair .

IHE 2024 is the focal point of the hospitality industry, bringing together industry experts and partners to connect, exchange ideas, share knowledge and achieve success at the international level. IHE 2024 is expected to attract around 1,000 exhibitors from the food, restaurant, hotel and tourism sectors from India and abroad, along with over 20,000 visitors. This is an important opportunity for Vietnam to promote its unique culture, cuisine, high-quality tourism and aviation services, and at the same time, an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to expand trade connections and enhance their presence in the regional and international food markets.
