Attending the program were: Dr. Nguyen Duc Ha, former Head of the Local Department, Central Organizing Committee, senior lecturer at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Mr. Nguyen Dac Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Dong Anh, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; officials, party members, and youth union members in the Ministry.
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Dac Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed that 95 years ago, the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam opened a new era, an extremely important turning point in the history of the Vietnamese revolution, deciding the development of the nation, ending the crisis in the leadership and organization of the patriotic movement in the early 20th century. The Party led the people to fight for power, unify, build and develop the country, especially the achievements over nearly 40 years of implementing Doi Moi.

With outstanding results in the renovation process, Vietnam is now integrating more and more deeply into the world market, and in fact, integration has been creating momentum for economic growth. The success of integration shows the correctness of the proactive and active international integration policy of our Party and State.
Based on the requirements and tasks of socio-economic development in the country, in the context of the current world situation, and with the goal of bringing the country into a new era, an era of national growth, recently, our Party has made important decisions such as: Carrying out a revolution to streamline the organizational apparatus to ensure effective operation; issuing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Nguyen Duc Ha emphasized that when talking about the new era, the era of national growth, General Secretary To Lam emphasized: "That is the era of development, the era of prosperity, the era of prosperity under the leadership and rule of the Party, successfully building a socialist Vietnam, rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization".
The new era begins from the 14th National Party Congress and by the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country in 2045, Vietnam strives to become a developed socialist country with high income. This is the goal that the Platform and the 13th National Party Congress have determined: by 2030, Vietnam will become a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045, all people will have a prosperous and happy life, a rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness, civilization, on par with the world powers; and contribute more and more to peace, stability, and development in the region and the world.

According to Dr. Nguyen Duc Ha, the basis for bringing the country into a new era, an era of national growth, is the great achievements that have been made after 40 years of Doi Moi. Vietnam has accumulated enough position and strength for breakthrough development in the next stage. Therefore, the top priority in the new era is to strongly arouse the spirit of self-reliance, self-confidence, self-reliance, national pride and the aspiration to develop the country; closely combining national strength with the strength of the times.
To improve leadership capacity, governing capacity and fighting strength in the new era, the Communist Party of Vietnam needs to focus on leading, directing and synchronously and drastically implementing major contents such as: strengthening the building and rectification of the Party and a clean and strong political system; building a contingent of cadres at all levels, especially at the strategic level and leaders with sufficient qualities, capacity and prestige, equal to the tasks; tightening the Party's leadership over the State; consolidating the close relationship between the Party and the people; resolutely and persistently promoting the fight against corruption, waste and negativity and expanding it beyond the state economic sector; continuing to innovate the Party's leadership and governing methods; carrying out the revolution in streamlining the political system's organizational apparatus towards effective, efficient and effective operations.
The thematic session helped cadres, party members, and youth union members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs better understand the glorious history of the Communist Party of Vietnam; arouse confidence and national pride. The program also encouraged cadres, party members, and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to overcome difficulties and challenges to seize opportunities and strive to successfully implement the Resolution of the 28th Congress of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the 2020-2025 term, contributing to the successful implementation of the cause of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
