Outstandingly surpassing many competitors from hundreds of countries and territories, the Vietnamese team won 2 bronze medals at the MOS World Championship 2024 and the ACPro World Championship 2024 held in Anaheim, California (USA).

The World Office Computing Championship is an annual international competition held since 2002 for students aged 13-22. The competition aims to find and honor the world's best talents in using office computing applications.

Meanwhile, the ACPro World Championship is a global competition to find the top design experts using Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign).

Nguyen Minh Duong - a second-year student at Hanoi University of Science and Technology, is the representative of the Vietnamese office information technology team, winning a bronze medal in the Microsoft Word 365 Apps competition. This year is the second time Duong has participated in the competition. Previously, when he was in high school, Duong won second place nationally in the Microsoft Word 2016 competition.

In this return, Nguyen Minh Duong was determined to practice to win the national championship and win a ticket to the US. After a long journey of effort, Duong brought home the bronze medal for his country.

In addition to Nguyen Minh Duong's personal achievement, 5 other members of the Vietnamese office informatics team were in the top 10 contestants with the highest scores in each competition at the 2024 world finals.

The Vietnamese Graphic Design team also had an excellent performance when they won a world bronze medal. The owner of this medal is Mai Ngoc Linh, an 11th grade student at Chu Van An High School (Hanoi). This is the second medal after 7 years that Vietnam participated in the final round of the World Graphic Design Championship.

The achievements in the 2024 season have brought the total number of medals of the Vietnamese team at the world finals of both competitions to 22 medals, including 4 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 14 bronze medals, 2 most voted audience awards and 08 contestants in the top 10 best in the world.

According to Ms. Doan Nguyen Van Khanh, Deputy General Director of IIG Vietnam - representative of the Organizing Committee of the competition, this year's world finals witnessed fierce competition, each team sent representatives who were carefully selected. However, the Vietnamese team was very excellent, promoting the talent, intelligence and bravery of the young Vietnamese generation with friends from all over the world, affirming Vietnam's position in the international arena. This achievement will be a solid launching pad for the students in the process of establishing their careers in the future.

Sharing the joy of the Vietnamese team's achievements, Mr. Nguyen Thien Tu - Director of the Center for Science, Technology and Young Talent Development (Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union) said that the World Office Informatics Championship and the World Graphic Design Championship have created opportunities for Vietnamese youth to perfect their IT application skills and graphic design according to international standards.

" The two competitions have created a favorable momentum for future development with globally prestigious professional certificates. This achievement has contributed to affirming the intelligence of Vietnamese youth, while spreading the spirit of effort to study, practice, and effectively apply technological achievements among young people, " Mr. Tu shared.
