We were present at Regiment 236 when the unit was rushing to prepare for the competition, teachers' sports festival, and teaching aid model at the Division level in mid-February 2025.

It is known that before entering the training mission, the leaders and commanders of the Regiment directed the Political Committee to develop an educational plan for officers and soldiers to study history and visit traditions with the following contents: Visiting the memorial stele area for martyrs, the area displaying weapons with meritorious services, the traditional room, the noble awards the Regiment was awarded; the Heroic Flag of the People's Armed Forces of the Regiment; the flower basket of President Ton Duc Thang; the Determined to Fight, Determined to Win flag of President Ho Chi Minh presented to the Regiment; the award flag "Determination to defeat the American invaders who shot down 103 American planes" presented by Uncle Ho on May 5, 1967...

Sharing with us, Captain Nguyen Van Bach, Political Commissar of Battalion 65 confided: “Previously, when studying history at all levels of education, I was reluctant to study because the content was quite dry and difficult to remember. However, after studying at the unit, I found that the content of political, historical and traditional education was easy to understand and absorb. I really enjoyed watching the films that the unit showed to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the tradition of Regiment 236. The images of generations of fathers and brothers fighting and sacrificing heroically to gain independence and freedom for the nation were the encouragement for us to overcome difficulties and challenges and successfully complete the assigned tasks.”

It can be seen that the revolutionary tradition education work of the Regiment in recent times has brought about high efficiency, the majority have a firm political and ideological stance, trust in the leadership of the Party and State; actively compete, practice, strictly follow discipline, always have the will to improve, and their level of awareness is increasingly high.

Lieutenant Colonel Doan Van Son, Political Commissar of Regiment 236, affirmed: "We pay special attention to political and ideological education, building solidarity with the slogan "Coming here, the unit is home, officers and soldiers are all brothers."

Therefore, over the years, the vast majority of soldiers in the unit have strictly followed discipline, have high self-awareness, have faith and pride in the Regiment's tradition. This also creates a solid change in the sense of responsibility and faith for each officer and soldier to successfully carry out assigned political tasks.

In addition, the Regiment regularly grasps and directs Party committees and commanders of agencies and units to regularly do a good job of educating the army about State law, military discipline, and educating soldiers about revolutionary tasks and traditions.

Not only educating the tradition for the officers and soldiers in the Regiment, over the years, the Regiment has promoted twinning activities with units and localities in the area where they are stationed, visiting the living, training and production areas of the troops; watching officers and soldiers in the unit instruct how to fold blankets, curtains and arrange personal belongings. Therefore, the motto in the tradition education work in Regiment 236 is to always link ideological education work with the movements of the country, the Army, emulation movements, and research competitions.

Through traditional education, cadres and soldiers all have strong political will, are confident in their attachment to the unit, and are ready to receive and complete well all assigned tasks.
