Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association (HHDL HCMC) said it has received petition No. 57/CV-HHDL dated July 30 from HHDL Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa regarding fraud and property appropriation of VIET SKY Service and Trading Company Limited (headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, abbreviated as Viet Sky Company).
Petition to clarify the fraudulent behavior of VIET SKY
Through the petition, the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association recognizes the need for investigation and handling by competent authorities to protect the rights and interests of businesses that are members of the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association as well as to ensure a healthy and clean tourism business environment.
The Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Association has sent a document to the Ho Chi Minh City Police and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism requesting an investigation to clarify the case of Viet Sky Company and take strict measures to both ensure the rights of the affected businesses and build a healthy business environment.
Previously, Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper reported that many hotels in Nha Trang City accused Ms. Nguyen Le Uyen P. - Director of Viet Sky Company - and Mr. Le Thanh T. - an employee of this company - of contacting the hotel to book accommodation services.
When the Viet Sky Company group was about to leave, the hotel staff asked Mr. T. to pay the remaining amount.
Mr. Le Thanh T. only sent via Zalo a screenshot of the payment transfer and a photo of the payment order.

The transaction image was sent via text message from the hotel staff, but in reality, there was still no money in the account at the time the Viet Sky Company group left the December Hotel (Nha Trang).
Therefore, the hotels agreed to let the group leave. However, in reality, the money did not enter the hotel's account. Mr. T. denied sending fake transaction images, not paying, and blocking communication.
More specifically, International Consulting Law Company Limited (located in Ho Chi Minh City, abbreviated as TVQT Law Company) also denounced fraudulent appropriation of property. Specifically, in July 2023, this company booked a tour with Viet Sky Company to Bali (Indonesia) for nearly 500 million VND, paying in advance nearly 350 million VND.
Before the departure date, TVQT Law Firm unexpectedly received information that Viet Sky Company had booked the wrong ticket, but when requesting a ticket code, Viet Sky Company did not cooperate. The Inspector of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism also determined that Viet Sky Company did not have an international travel business license.
TVQT Law Firm requested to initiate criminal proceedings; suspend exit of the individual; and suspend the operations of Viet Sky Company.
Meanwhile, the leader of Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Tourism Association said that Viet Sky Company provided last-minute payment information to pressure restaurants and hotels to let customers go.
Viet Sky Company systematically committed this act many times with many different businesses and individuals. They committed fraud, taking advantage of trust to appropriate large sums of money from businesses.
Payment is only made after receiving many petitions and requests from authorities to protect the legitimate rights and interests of members.
"We hope that the authorities will investigate, handle and take preventive measures against these subjects, not to cause other incidents, affecting the tourism environment and social order" - the leader of HHDL Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa proposed.
VIET SKY side gave the reason "accident"
Speaking with a reporter from Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Le Thanh T. - representative of Viet Sky Company, said that it was a late payment, not a scam.
According to Mr. T., by August 1, both hotels in Nha Trang had received full room payments from Viet Sky Company.
The reason for the late payment is that the tour booking units have not paid Viet Sky Company. Viet Sky has informed the hotels about this issue. Both sides have agreed that it is an occupational accident.
Explaining the accusation of forging payment authorizations and transactions posted on Zalo, Mr. T. explained that it was an "accident". Specifically, at the time of payment, Viet Sky Company issued a money transfer order but the company's leadership had not yet approved it.
The image that Viet Sky provided, the hotel staff said that it was a payment authorization, which is incorrect because this transaction was not successful.
"If the account does not have enough money, the money transfer order cannot be created. In fact, when the leader approved the money transfer, an "accident" occurred. The company's account was negative due to automatic tax deduction. I informed the hotel about this issue and asked for a delay in payment," Mr. T. explained.
Regarding the Four Seasons restaurant, when he was accused of ordering food services from July 13, but on August 1, Viet Sky Company still did not pay the remaining amount, Mr. T. said that it was because he had not yet made a liquidation contract with the restaurant.
"The restaurant charged us for arranging a meal on the beach, but it was raining that day. Since we had not yet agreed on the contract termination, how can we call it defaulting on payment?" - Mr. T. said.

Viet Sky Company was accused of not having an international travel license but still received a deposit of nearly 350 million VND to go to Bali (Indonesia) from TVQT Law Firm.
As for TVQT Law Firm, Mr. T. admitted that he was fined by the Ho Chi Minh City authorities for not having an international travel license. The company's operating license was revoked for 2 months.
Regarding the deposit of nearly 350 million VND that TVQT Law Firm made, why did Viet Sky Company not return it? Mr. T. said that Ho Chi Minh City Police had investigated, and then Viet Sky Company agreed to pay 10% of the contract.
Mr. T. also said that Viet Sky Company had transferred money to TVQT Law Firm many times and asked this Company to confirm receipt of the money before transferring the remaining amount.
