The exciting training session of the U.22 Vietnam players during the short-term gathering at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center (Hanoi) took place on the afternoon of August 14.
This is an opportunity for head coach Kim Sang-sik to review and evaluate the abilities of players in the U.21, U.22 age groups, and even U.19 players who are considered capable of competing with their seniors.
Through the training session, Coach Kim Sang-sik and U.22 Vietnam will have the most proactive preparation for the two main tasks in 2025: the 2026 U.23 Asian qualifiers and the 33rd SEA Games.

At the end of August, the Vietnam U.22 team will continue to have another training session with the main force being U.21 players to participate in the international U.21 friendly football tournament, taking place from September 2 to September 10 in Changsha city, China.
The tournament features teams from Vietnam, Malaysia, Uzbekistan and host China. This is a test for coach Kim Sang-sik to build his playing style and better understand his players' abilities.
