On the weekend, instead of resting after a stressful week of work and study, the Youth Union members of Duong Hong Thuy commune focused on supporting labor days and building a house for Mr. Cao Chung Tham's family in Kien Thang village.

Quickly handing each bucket of mortar to the masons, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Nhi, a member of Kien Thang village, shared: “My fellow members and I are very happy to participate in supporting Mr. Tham’s family in building the house. This is an activity that demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and mutual love of the youth towards the community. I hope the house will be completed soon so that Mr. Tham’s family can stabilize their lives.”

Mr. Cao Chung Tham confided: My family is in difficult circumstances, and I am very excited and touched to have received support from the Red Cross at all levels, local authorities and the Youth Union to build a house. This is truly a "house of love". I hope the younger generation will continue to have many activities towards the community, especially caring for families in difficult circumstances.

Ms. Doan Thi Thin, Secretary of the Youth Union of Duong Hong Thuy commune, said: Mr. Cao Chung Tham is a near-poor household. The family's house was built a long time ago, is damaged and seriously degraded, and is not safe. Understanding the family's situation, the Red Cross at all levels connected with Habitat for Humanity to support 100 million VND for Mr. Tham's family to build a new house. The commune's Youth Union supported labor days, and it is expected that by May 2025, Mr. Tham's new house will be completed and put into use. Joining hands to implement the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the locality, in the coming time, the commune's Youth Union will continue to mobilize and propagate union members to support material and spiritual support to help households in difficult circumstances have stable housing.

This year's Youth Month with the theme "Thai Binh Youth Volunteers for Community Life", Duong Hong Thuy Commune Youth Union also implemented many specific projects and tasks such as "Volunteering to join hands to build advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas"; mobilizing Youth Union members to participate in "Green Sunday", creating a bright - green - clean - beautiful environment; organizing sports activities, creating healthy and useful playgrounds for Youth Union members; organizing dialogues between leaders of Party committees and commune authorities with Youth Union members, orienting the ideals of Youth Union members' lives, contributing to forming good habits and actions for Youth Union members.

During the Youth Month with the motto "Each Youth Union has a practical activity, each Youth Union member has a specific action", the Youth Union of Thuy Xuan commune mobilized Youth Union members to plant mangrove forests and protect the environment.

Mr. Bui Van Linh, a member of Vu Dong village, shared: Participating in the mangrove planting program of the commune's Youth Union, I find it very meaningful, raising awareness for the younger generation in environmental protection. Thanks to the protection of mangrove forests, local aquaculture ponds and breakwaters are protected during storms and high tides. I hope there will be more mangrove planting programs and projects to reduce environmental pollution and increase economic value from forests.

Ms. Vu Thi Thuy Linh, Secretary of the Youth Union of Thuy Xuan commune, said: Planting mangrove trees is a key activity in the Youth Month of the Youth Union of Thuy Xuan commune. Thanks to the support of domestic and international organizations, we have mobilized young people to plant hundreds of casuarina, barringtonia, and mangrove trees... Through this activity, we want to raise awareness among young people about the significance of mangrove forests and promote environmental protection. In addition, we have implemented many meaningful community-oriented activities, attracting a large number of young people to participate, such as organizing "Digital Literacy" classes, supporting people to use smartphones and utility applications, accessing online public services, cashless payments, protecting information security in cyberspace... actively contributing to the development of digital government, digital society, digital economy and digital citizens. In particular, to help the Youth Union develop the economy, we coordinate with sectors and organizations to organize training courses on technology transfer and support access to preferential loans in production and business. Currently, the Commune Youth Union coordinates with the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank to implement loan programs, meeting the loan needs of the Youth Union with an amount of over 2 billion VND. The loan models of the Youth Union are all used for the right purposes, bringing economic efficiency.

In March - Youth Month, the Youth Union organizations in Thai Thuy district implemented key projects and tasks, suitable to the local reality. In particular, the highlight is a series of volunteer activities to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses; implement the "Youth Tree Row"; maintain and implement the "Lighting up the Village Roads" project; deploy a youth volunteer team to participate in the "Digital Education for All" movement... Each project, each task, big or small, carries the spirit of shock and the desire to contribute of the youth. The activities of this year's Youth Month will continue to extend the achievements of volunteer movements, mark the youth and affirm the role of Thai Thuy youth in the new era - the era of national development.
