On January 19, the Vietnamese Embassy in Romania coordinated with the Vietnamese Association in Romania to organize the Homeland Spring 2025 program in the capital Bucharest.
Attending the event were Ambassador Do Duc Thanh and his wife, embassy staff, leaders of Vietnamese associations and groups, and more than 300 overseas Vietnamese living, working, and studying in Romania.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Do Duc Thanh emphasized the achievements that Vietnam has made in 2024, successfully implementing socio-economic goals and enhancing the country's position in the international arena; the whole country is filled with the new spirit of the Spring of At Ty, ready for a new era, the era of national growth.

The Ambassador said that 2024 has ended with many changes in the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Romania, opening up a year 2025 that will see many activities celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, with the aspiration to elevate the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation.
The Ambassador also praised the community for always upholding the spirit of solidarity, working hard, organizing many cultural, educational and sports activities for the benefit of the community and always looking towards the homeland and country.

Mr. Pham Duy Hung, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Romania, on behalf of the Vietnamese community, spoke about the achievements that the Association has made in the past year, maintained association activities, closely coordinated with the Embassy, actively responded to domestic movements launched, especially the movement to raise funds to support flood victims and announced the Association's 2025 program of activities...
On this occasion, Ambassador Do Duc Thanh also presented the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Association of Vietnamese in Romania and Mr. Pham Duy Hung personally for his outstanding achievements in building and developing the Vietnamese community abroad, towards the homeland in 2024.

In particular, this year is the first year that the Homeland Spring program in Romania has the participation of a domestic art troupe performing, the People's Public Security Music and Dance Theater, organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese.

The Spring Homeland Program 2025 took place in a vibrant and joyful atmosphere, with fun activities, special performances about spring, homeland and country performed by domestic art troupes, thereby helping those living far away from home to ease their homesickness, family and friends.
In the bustling music of Spring, guests and all attendees raised their glasses to wish for the New Year of the Snake and wished for good fortune and luck for everyone.
