The Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a document verifying the high school diploma of Mr. Vuong Tan Viet (aka Venerable Thich Chan Quang).

In the document, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City confirmed: Mr. Vuong Tan Viet, born in 1959, was not on the list of candidates and the list of names and scores in the 1989 high school graduation exam of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City; was not on the list of candidates awarded high school graduation certificates on June 6, 1989 of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City.
Sharing the above information with the press, a representative of Hanoi Law University said that they had grasped the matter regarding the document of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City.
Normally, if the high school diploma is fake, the higher education school will carry out procedures according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on the management of diplomas and certificates.
In the case of Mr. Vuong Tan Viet, when there is an official document from the management agency, the school will carry out the procedures according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, for admission and training at bachelor, master and doctoral levels, students who commit fraud in preparing documents to obtain degrees and certificates (using fake degrees in their registration documents) will be forced to leave school. Diplomas that have been granted will be revoked and canceled according to regulations.
