In the 2023 summary report, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Truong - Vice Principal of the School of Training and Fostering of Natural Resources and Environment Cadres said that the direction and implementation of the School's tasks were all effective and completed the set plan; the working relationship between the Party Committee, government, organizations, departments, and individuals was unified, highly determined, and flexible, timely, and practical implementation solutions were decided... demonstrated by the fact that: 100% of the basic tasks were completed; the School developed 5 teaching programs, compiled 8 documents, and implemented the application of scientific research results; organized 34 courses/classes with a total of 2,285 students participating, and maintained a network of domestic and foreign lecturers and reporters of 99 people.

In addition, the School also regularly receives training orders for officials at all levels and sectors in many localities and enterprises in the field of land from the People's Committee of Chi Linh City, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of provinces and cities such as Yen Bai, Lang Son, Ha Tinh, Tuyen Quang, etc.

In research and science and technology activities, the School has implemented the Ministry-level science and technology project "Research on international experience to serve the development of training programs and materials, and training of experts and scientific and technological staff in the Natural Resources and Environment sector" and has accepted the project on time as prescribed.

Emphasizing international cooperation, Mr. Thanh Truong said that the University has coordinated with foreign partners on training and fostering in cooperation with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and has been approved by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to participate in the Technical Support Project using non-refundable official development assistance (ODA) capital from the Japanese Government; signed the Minutes of discussion on cooperation in implementing the Project with the Vietnamese Project Owner (University of Science, Vietnam National University, Hanoi) and JICA.

The School also proactively participated in the Project's Pre-Inception Workshop in October 2023; cooperated with the International Finance Corporation (IFC); cooperated with the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in coordinating with the Department of Environmental Pollution Control to implement the program to build a pollution control staff system (PCM) at the request of the Department,...

In order to implement the tasks in 2024, the School has proposed the direction to continue reviewing and perfecting the system of programs, documents and normative documents serving training, fostering, training, seeking cooperation opportunities in training, fostering and developing human resources. Promoting socialization activities in the fields of land, environment, hydrometeorology, mineral geology, remote sensing... to meet the needs of agencies, units, organizations, individuals and businesses.

Contributing his opinion at the Conference, Mr. Phan Viet Hung - Chief of the School Office said that although the School has achieved certain achievements in training and professional expertise, for the plan to implement the tasks in 2024, the School should develop a specific plan to coordinate with local Departments and Branches to create a continuous training system, aiming to improve the professional qualifications of staff. In addition, when organizing classes in localities, the School also needs to develop a budget plan to balance the classes opened locally.

Mr. Nguyen Binh Minh - Director of the Center for Cooperation and Human Resources Development - School of Training and Development of Natural Resources and Environment Officers added his opinion on training orders for officers at all levels and sectors in many localities and enterprises in various fields. The School needs to develop training plans that are suitable to the actual needs of local units. In the work of drafting legal documents, the School and units under the Ministry need to coordinate to study the Laws and incorporate them into the curriculum in a reasonable manner, as well as closely coordinate with the Legal Department of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to disseminate legal documents to students and officers of specialized units.

Concluding the Conference, Mr. Duong Thanh An - Principal of the School of Training and Fostering of Natural Resources and Environment Officers said that through the achieved results, in terms of expertise and profession, the School has been promoting its full potential in teaching and training. However, in the coming time, the School's socialization activities must be strengthened, focused on and need to develop plans to attract investment from private enterprises, vertical industries,...

However, last year, the training and certification activities for appointment, as well as the training and political theory training for the leaders of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of the School were significantly reduced. Therefore, the key task in 2024, for training and certification programs for State management units, Mr. Duong Thanh An proposed to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to come up with a plan to add more classes and hours for students as well as training and certification programs. At the same time, the School will plan to coordinate with lecturers inside and outside the industry to create quality lectures that are suitable for practical needs.

Especially in the coordination with units under the Ministry, Mr. Duong Thanh An hopes to continue to receive support from the Departments, Boards and branches of the Ministry in developing policies, regimes, scientific and technological research and budget for the School. In 2024, the School will cooperate with the Project Management Board to improve the School's facilities and infrastructure to create conditions for the School to carry out tasks according to its functions and tasks, contributing to meeting and promoting training and fostering activities for cadres, civil servants and public employees of the industry.

Directing at the Conference, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa praised the achievements of the School of Training and Fostering of Natural Resources and Environment Cadres in the past year. Regarding the proposals noted at the Conference, the Deputy Minister suggested that in 2024, the School should follow the instructions of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment in training, organizing cadres, selecting students and allocating reasonable teaching and learning time.

In addition to professional work, the School also needs to focus on coordinating with the Department of Science and Technology to develop more scientific research topics. For the Project on facilities and construction of the School, the School needs to urgently plan to implement with the Project Management Board to build and renovate the headquarters. Regarding the organizational structure, the Deputy Minister hopes that the School will continue to improve the leadership and management team of the Departments, Offices, etc., and implement the plan to supplement on-site staff to grasp and effectively carry out the work of the School.

The dissemination of current legal documents is very important and necessary, therefore, the School needs to coordinate with units to synchronously implement the development of training programs interspersed with legal documents, update lectures related to new Laws, at the same time, the School also needs to coordinate and connect with units in the Ministry, under the Ministry to create close relationships, build topics, scientific research projects, ... contributing to building the industry of Natural Resources and Environment increasingly stronger.
