The establishment of Regiment 375 is a testament to the deep concern of the Party and State for the work of protecting the security and safety of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum - a project of great political, ideological and spiritual significance to the nation.

Regiment 375, formerly known as Group 75, was established under the Directive of the Minister of the Interior (now the Ministry of Public Security) on March 28, 1975, with the mission of absolutely protecting the safety of the area of ​​President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square and organizing and guiding domestic people and foreign visitors to visit Uncle Ho. This is a great honor and also a heavy responsibility that the Party and State entrust to the People's Public Security force.

The work of welcoming and guiding domestic people and foreign visitors to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum was carried out thoughtfully and respectfully.

Right from the early days of its establishment, when the country had just been unified and faced many difficulties, the officers and soldiers of Group 75 demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, promoting the qualities of a People's Public Security soldier "forgetting oneself for the country, serving the people".

The unit constantly improves its organization, trains its political and professional skills, maintains discipline, heightens vigilance, absolutely protects the safety of guard targets and other assigned tasks.

From Group 75 to Regiment 375: Continuous Development

After many stages of development, in 1992, the unit was renamed Regiment 375 under the Guard Command, Ministry of Public Security.

The 375th Regiment was assigned many important tasks, especially protecting the security of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs, the National Assembly and Bac Son Square. In that context, the Regiment has continuously grown in terms of organization, force and technical equipment.

Along with the task of protecting security and safety in key areas, Regiment 375 also undertakes ceremonial tasks, such as: Guard of Honor; guard of honor to serve the leaders of the Party, State, Government, and National Assembly in receiving foreign guests; deploying a motorcycle escort team to protect delegations of heads of state visiting and working in Vietnam, and Ambassadors presenting their credentials to the President.

The officers and soldiers of the Regiment have continuously studied, trained, and mastered modern technical means, applied science and technology to security work, ensuring absolute safety for the protection target.

Imprints in the career of protecting national security

Over the past 50 years, Regiment 375 has made important contributions to the cause of national security protection.

In particular, in important political and foreign affairs events of the country, the unit always plays a core role, organizing absolute security protection for high-level conferences, ceremonies to pay respects to President Ho Chi Minh and national ceremonial activities.

Along with that, the work of welcoming, guiding and serving domestic people and foreign visitors to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum has become one of the highlights in the activities of Regiment 375. With the motto of "respect, thoughtfulness, enthusiasm, politeness", the unit has contributed to spreading the beautiful image of the Guard force in particular and the People's Public Security in general in the hearts of the people and international friends.

The outstanding achievements of Regiment 375 have been recognized by the Party and State with many noble awards, including: Ho Chi Minh Medal, Third-class Labor Medal, Third-class Independence Medal, Second-class Military Exploit Medal, Third-class Feat of Arms Medal, along with many certificates of merit from the Government, the Ministry of Public Security and agencies and units inside and outside the force. In particular, in 2003, Regiment 375 was honored to be awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in the Renewal Period by the Party and State.

Entering a new era - the era of national development, facing the challenges of the world, regional and domestic security situation, the requirements for the 375th Regiment are increasingly higher. Strengthen training, improve professional knowledge, science and technology; promote comprehensive training, skills in using and mastering weapons and support tools, improve professional qualifications, especially in preventing and combating terrorism and riots, ensuring absolute security for protection targets and important political events of the country.

Actively research and apply science and technology to security work; propose modernization of means and technical equipment, and apply advanced professional measures to improve the effectiveness of security work.

Promote the emulation movement "For the security of the Fatherland" and other sudden emulation movements; promote the tradition of the heroic unit, solidarity, cohesion, compete to achieve many achievements, contributing to building the image of a brave, humane Guard Soldier serving the people.
