Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tien, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association, said: "From the need for a space to display Uncle Ho's life, the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association discussed with the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City branch to have the association make 10 sculptures of Uncle Ho's portrait and donate them to the museum.

We met with the sculptors to come up with a certain period of Uncle Ho's life. Then the museum sent portraits from each period. The authors drew lots to see who would work on Uncle Ho at which period. This work began in mid-2024."

Mr. Tien said the difficulty of these works is not only to resemble Uncle Ho but also to express his spirit at each moment. This requires the artist to read a lot about the history of Uncle Ho's activities in order to feel and put his feelings, thoughts and love into the work.
